Situated in El Castillo de la Fortuna in the Alajuela region with Arenal Eco Zoo nearby, Vulkan Arenal Amazing View Lodge 4 WD offers accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to spa... We loved almost everything about this place. We were looking for somewhere quiet and secluded with amazing views. And we couldn’t have found anywhere better on all three counts. Idyllic.

Essence Arenal is an ecological hotel surrounded by Tropical Forest that offers a wellness center to tourists, it is surrounded by gardens and beautiful views of Lake Arenal, the Arenal Volcano and... Wow! What a unique and stunning location! I booked a “tent” and was truly amazed at what we got. Sure, it’s technically a tent - built on a beautiful bamboo platform, with a queen size bed, and a dreamy balcony. The view is truly incredible. The entire staff was helpful, SO nice and accommodating. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast there and it’s incredibly worth - the attention to detail and use of local ingredients was amazing. The whole ethos of permaculture they establish here is inspiring. I wish I had stayed longer!

Featuring an extensive garden, furnished terraces with natural pools and rainforest-mountains views, the eco-friendly Rancho Margot is 700 metres from Caño Negro River and 3 km from Arenal Lake. Rancho Margot is more than a hotel, it's a community and an sustainable project. For us it was truly an inspiring experience as we could witness first-hand the challenges and rewards that living off-the-grid entail. Rancho Margot's team has accomplished plenty like regenerating a portion of the forest and they invite you to learn about their sustainability practices through their tours and experiences. You can also just enjoy nature, take a hike or swim on their natural pools. It's secluded for a good reason, and we didn't have any reason to leave. We stayed 3 nights but would love to come back!

Boasting a hot tub, Love Cabin - Arenal Volcano & Lake views is situated in El Fosforo. Guests can benefit from a balcony and a picnic area. The view is good. Unfortunately we had clouds in front of the volcano all 4 days :/
