Excellent stay in this beautiful property. The Superior Suite is as gorgeous as the view on the beautiful Cederberg and Spitzkop. (the in-room fireplace is a must ! especially during winter for cozy evenings) The included dinner is excellent and menu changes everyday. The staff is what makes this establishment really special. Every member is so caring and will always make sure your stay is pleasant, tailored and exceptional. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival, had several surprises and touches of attention arranged by the staff and were also personally advised by a guide before our hikes with plenty of useful informations.

Firstly, you realise you are staying in the most beautifully gardened guest house - coupled with a friendly greeting and some freshly baked muffins (wonderful touch of class!). The Nut Hut itself is very well equipped with plenty of utensils and other provisions needed for self catered accommodation - impressive. The communal lapa was awesome and such a nice place to relax by the pool or watch tv. Truly a gem of a guesthouse run by a lovely team/family! Can not recommend highly enough!

The clue is in the name. A total retreat. An escape. Bill and Jeanine have created a paradise. The chalets were beautiful. The staff were friendly. The food was out of this world. They are such good cooks. The highlights were the vegetables cooked over the open fire. Fire roasted cauliflower and beetroot. Mushroom cooked with peanut butter. The meat was beautifully cooked but the star of the show was the veggies. That being said, it was all wonderful. The work they do in rescuing animals and their love for the area stands out. Their pets made the stay even better. To see such wonderfully peaceful and happy animals speaks volumes when you know they’re all rescues.

A beautiful place for some peaceful days and an amazing night sky. The area is ideal for hiking and finding new ways through an untouched area.

Friendly hosts and beautiful surroundings. You can pop over the de Pakys Pass if you are keen to hike. Loved the orange and pecan trees in the garden and the hot tub and indoor fireplace were much used and appreciated. If you get hot you can dip in the river and Clan william is only a 15 minute drive away. I would definitely recommend it :)) .

If you want to take a rest from the noisy and fast live, always being online; if you look for the perfect place to meditate, practice Yoga, write a book, or just read outside just accompaigned by the sound of desert animals – THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE! Super friendly hosts! Spectacular landscape! Unbelievable nights (you can sleep outside beneath billions of stars on a huge sofa). No WLAN, mobile network 1km away on the hill (sufficient for emails) right to the Huiz. Important: Stay longer than 3 days. Then the place starts to really 'enfolds' it's soul... ;-)

Amazing place with beautiful rustic cottages and amazing scenery around. There’s even springboks and eland roaming around you! Would recommend to anyone. Owners are super helpful and lovely too. Rock art walk is great
