Looking for a cabin?

For active travelers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and with kitchen facilities, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found other places in the world. Characterized by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing vacations.

Great location near the main street for pubs and restaurants. A lovely warm welcome from Mari, who was very accommodating when we arrived later than expected. The place was spotless and had everything we needed for an overnight. A nice selection of cereals, toast, fruit, cheese and youghut was available for breakfast. All in all, a great place to stay in Clifden.

We really liked the warm welcome and lovely food in the restaurant. The rooms were excellent. The lounge was great for a few after dinner drinks in a relaxing atmosphere beside a warm fireplace.

This self contained chalet was one of the best ( superb) for facilities, cleanliness and comfort. Everything you needed esp the coffee machine, heaven. Added bonus of fresh milk, fruit, cereals, orange juice and even eggs. Highly recommend after a long day out and about, you can soak in a warm bath on a blustery wild west day. Highly recommend and will br passing on their details to all friend and family. Thank you Vimy House host.

Very good value for the money. Bar on site, but it is right in the city center. Staff was very friendly. Very cute sitting area with fireplace to have tea/coffee, do work or read a book.

Breakfast was delicious every morning, the rooms were cozy and quaint, and there was a charming peat fire lit in the lobby fireplace most evenings when we came back. The owner was helpful in providing local recommendations for practical needs like laundry services in town. The staff were friendly and helpful as well.

The quiet, peaceful ambience !! All carpeted .... none of those noisy wooden floors !!! And, of course, the wonderful breakfasts !! When I mentioned that I was vegan alternatives to dairy products were provided.... Alpro yogurt and " milk " , vegan sausages and bread !! So breakfast was always a feast !! I also liked the management style ... if you needed anything you rang the reception bell ; otherwise you were left to come and go as you pleased !!
