It is also wheel chair friendly - which is so nice and so rare to see with vacation homes. The host was easy to communicate with. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful chalet, even though the hot tub was not available during the season ww went in, we did not miss it :) The surrounding rustic village was great for walks with our dog. The shuttle to the lakes even goes in off season and is cheap. There‘s not much going on in the town itself but that way everyone is going to bed at a reasonable hour and at around the same time. For this reason I got the best sleep of my trip at this hostel. Although Korenica is such a small town there still are enough buses going to all the major cities from there. They also request to remove your shoes at the door, which is a great rule! I came here during October so it was mostly empty with only few guests, so it was great value for money. We did the sunset hike on our first night (beware this is very steep but worth it for the amazing views) and took the hostel shuttle to the Plitvice Lakes the following day. Hostel owner is extremely kind and helpful!
