The cottage was amazingly clean and well equipped. It was like an oasis. It has been an extremely hot summer in July 2021, and when we arrived the cottage was so perfectly spotless and air conditioned. Kitchen exceptionally equipped, even with some herbs and spices in the cupboard. The owners have really taken care to make the cottage feel homely and not tacky. Decor was well thought out and gave just the right feel. Gas BBQ outside on the balcony which we used. Bikes in the shed. Walking distance to a really nice small beach. Very close to the Ähtäri zoo so the energetic could walk there. Highly recommended cottage and 10/10 from all the family members (parents / 3 teenage kids).

Added cooling system! Should be included to the features of the room Great view from both balcony and from dining table (especially when opening the double doors to the balcony) Excellent place for longer stay

We stayed for a couple of nights while visiting the Ähtäri Zoo. The house is excellent and the location is perfect. It's a perfect house for families with kids, my kids loved the playroom and the outdoors. The host was super helpful and easy to reach.

So well equipped and clean.Nice comfy beds. Sauna could have done with foot rest ,the burner was a little open and we had to be careful around it .The place was a little bit cold on the arrival ,however it was nice and warm after we had heated the sauna .Staff in mesikammen we’re really helpful.Can’t wait to return when everything is open again.
