We traveled with our 7 months old daughter. Overall a true gem and authentic Costa Rican immersive experience by witnessing life on a chocolate farm. Easy to access (no need for 4-wheel drive) and very safe location. A stay here includes a free chocolate making tour across the farm which we would highly encourage everyone to take advantage of. Our deluxe bungalow was well equipped (a baby cot was provided) with mosquito nets both on the doors and above the beds. The bungalows featured a balcony facing into the green with relaxing reading chairs and a hammock. The shower was surprisingly modern and well functioning given the more wood cabin feel of the bungalows. A ceiling mounted fan made for nice temperatures during the night. We recommend staying at least 2 nights as Finca Amistad is located perfectly for a trip to stunning Tenorio National Park (15minute car ride).

Very friendly staff. The property is very beautiful, away from the touristy area so you get to relax. And you get to see plenty of animals, birds mostly, passing by. You can also try out the chocolate they produce!

I love how the owners take such pride in their cabins, how they go out of their way to help us find activities and even schedule some for us. They were always available, extremely polite, and very willing to help. It's nice arriving to warm smiles and friendly faces. The place was clean, and the balcony on the second floor was perfect for morning coffee and bird watching.

The pictures of this property do not do it justice. It is stunning. There was a family of howler monkeys right on the property. If you love nature and wildlife, this is the place for you!! The home was clean and Kamal and Bertha were excellent hosts. They provided many recommendations for activities around the property and we were very happy with all their suggestions. This property is in a great location if you want to visit Rio Celeste waterfall, sloths tours and chocolate tours. I highly recommend this property.

Everything. Getting cozy in the nice and clean room and looking outside the balcony is medicine against stress. Was so in need of that. Staff is welcoming and warm, go the extra mile to help and you really feel like you matter. REAL COSTA RICAN people. I will mention Walvin; but the maintenance staff are also fantastic. I made a necessary request to the hotel regarding a health related issue and they really took measures and followed up. This is really extraordinary in my experience. I wish all places gave that feeling.

We enjoyed a lot our stay in this chalet, we were delighted of the amount of birds that were on site and the views all around. It’s a very private space and super peaceful, but it is still very close to places we wanted to discover and useful shops or services. I recommend it a lot ! Thank you guys
