Location was great . The cabin was lovely . I loved the little things they did to show care...the way the fireplace was prepared..there were LOTS of tea bags. There was glad wrap for the sandwiches . Charming and lovely

The 81 guest rooms and cabins and 5 newly renovated suites feature modern interiors and furnishings, with a selection of cabins reveling in views of the majestic Tasmanian alpine wilderness. Each cabin features gas or wood-fired heating, mini-bar, and kitchenette facilities. The suites feature a spa bath and private veranda. A full breakfast is included each morning.

Gorgeous setting and convenient to the park shuttle and to several trails practically just out the door. The breakfast buffet was outrageously good with a wide selection of items to suit any taste. The wallaby’s and wombats who visited each night were a special treat.

Boasting cottages and holiday cabins with cooking facilities, Discovery Parks - Cradle Mountain is just 800 metres from The Wilderness Gallery. Guests have access to laundry and BBQ facilities.

Each cabin and cottage has a refrigerator, microwave, kitchenware and tea/coffee making facilities. All include a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Some cottages feature a spa bath and gas fire.

There were plenty of utensils and dishes for us to do our basic cooking, and the room was spacious enough to relax in. The check in process was so easy and much appreciated as we were running late but still got into the cabin without any trouble!!

Looking for a cabin?

For active travelers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and with kitchen facilities, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found other places in the world. Characterized by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing vacations.

We stayed in one of the new 'deluxe cabins'. It was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We utilised the kitchen and it had everything we needed to cook a steak, hot dog etc... The cabin had a heat pump and a gas heater so we were warm and toasty. Beds were comfortable and we appreciated the electric blankets. The bathroom was huge and had heated flooring. Great location, just a stones throw away from the visitors centre and the shuttle busses.

Great spot right at the entrance to the park. A few 100ms from the visitors centre and shuttles. The lodge area and hellyers were exceptional ( we ate there both nights and were made to feel very welcome with our very small children). Cabin was simple but all we needed and the setting was perfect for a cradle mountain stay.

Location is perfect for lots of walking, plus shuttle stop is very close. Our cabin was lovely, especially the fire which was prepared for lighting each afternoon. The whole set up with the boardwalks to the cabins is well thought out. The main lodge is just what you expect in the mountains, fireplaces everywhere, big comfy chairs. the staff were all outstanding, special mention to Alana and Carmel for their 5 star service. The food in both the restaurant and the tavern was very tasty and great selection.
