This place is a game-changer! - the prices are super affordable compared to the regular hotel - they give you Japanese-style loungewear - floors are divided by gender by default, so I had no worries about safety or convenience - clean towels appear after the evening clean-up every single day - no shoes policy = everything’s super clean - loved the cute card they wrote me for the last day before the check-out

All air-conditioned units in the male-only capsule hotel are fitted with a flat-screen TV and privacy curtains. Rooms at Sauna & Capsule AMZA (mens only) also boast free WiFi. With a shared bathroom and toilet, guests have access to free amenities.

Capsule area for sleeping is ok and looks new or well maintained and sleek. Onsen area looks run down but facilities ok. Good sauna. More locals here than foreign tourists...They charged daily even though I booked 2 nights stay - meaning ...pay one time first day and second time the second day the daily rate.

Looking for a capsule hotel?

Developed in Japan, these cheap “pod” hotels are a novelty for any traveler. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodations are basic and intended to be overnight. There's separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms. Some capsule hotels also have a sentō – a Japanese bath house, usually for male guests only.

Absolutely amazing hotel, the oldest capsule hotel in Japan. The amenities, especially sento, blew my mind for such a low price. You can feel the authenticity of the place with the vast majority of people staying there are Japanese. The staff is super helpful as well. I even bought a sauna hat from their merch as a souvenir. Capsule hotels like this one are definetely underrated.

Perfect location very close to Namba station, clean capsules and friendly staff. Towels are provided and can be changed daily, the female-only floor felt safe and secure (only people with a pass can enter), and even though large luggage isn’t locked away I didn’t have any issues. The washing machine and tumble dryer do not need coins to be operated.

Staff super super super nice! Japanese are all friendly but the girl that received me (cant remember her name) was plus! She went to the room with me, explained about Osaka, they let me in much earlier as I arrived earlier. Bed super comfortable, big kitchen, there is a coffee place nice downstairs, nice sink, good hairdrier, there is a wash machine - thats perfect and cheap, super convenient.

Hotel Atarayo was one of the best hostels I have had the pleasure of staying at. The place was very clean, comfortable and well-lit. The pods were spacious, bigger than usual capsule hotel pod sizes. Lockers were available for luggage and clothes storage. I liked that they had changing rooms for privacy, which also served as a prayer space for me. They also had a big bathroom with bathtub for those who needed to soak after a long day of traveling. Staffs were friendly and helpful.

Staff were friendly and helpful, especially around check-in / check-out and my baggage. Rooms were bigger (taller) than other capsule hotels I've stayed in. Room was clean and cosy and I appreciated the amenities provided, and the air conditioning control in the rooms. They even had an emergency button which I accidently pressed (thought it was the light switch) and a staff member came straight away. The bathrooms especially were well-kept and the female-only onsen was a nice addition.

A very faithful to the Japanese original capsule hotel concept establishment. Communal bath, with onsen and sauna facilities to boot. Basic amenities are provided generously, and some additional efforts are made to further convenient the guests with vending machines readily accessible by just tapping with the wristbands provided and put onto your tab which you would need to settle prior to checking out.

Not an average Japanese capsule hotel, the capsules are much roomier. The service is friendly. The bathing area on the top floor for men is just that plus.
