Wilding on a Whim, a property with a garden, is set in West Linton, 23 km from EICC, 23 km from University of Edinburgh, as well as 23 km from Royal Mile. Our first time in Scotland and glamping and I’m sooo glad I didn’t book a hotel ! … the pods are beautiful and ever so cosy … we definitely did not need to bring extra woollies with us ! … we arrived on Xmas day to a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us … fresh eggs and milk were provided too which was very welcome ! … the pod was very clean too. beds are comfy and so is the sofa bed (I have same one at home) this is the perfect base for exploring the surrounding areas and relaxing here in the evening … we spotted lots of wild animals including cute rabbits in the evenings … the owner is very friendly and lit us up a little fire on our last night so my little one could toast some marshmallows. felt very safe … Highly recommend this place !

Offering a terrace and garden view, 89 Main Park, Lilliardsedge is situated in Harrietsfield, 45 km from Etal Castle and 41 km from Traquair House. The caravan was clean and comfy. The area was fab.

The location was excellent for what we were doing but also nice to have the tavern nearby if you don’t want to cook for a night. Great birding and the neighbours were all friendly.
