Lake Inari Mobile Cabins offer glass bedrooms allowing guests impressive views of the arctic surroundings and if lucky enough, the Northern Lights. A truly unique experience in a special part of the world. From booking to check-out, the process was smooth and straightforward. Atte, Alexa, and team were responsive, organized, warm, and gracious hosts, and both the basecamp and mobile cabin were spotless and well-outfitted. Note that snow suits and boots are provided for those in need at the basecamp, along with WCs, showers, towels, and space to store any snacks/drinks you might wish to bring with you. While we unfortunately didn't have time to take advantage of any of the activities, we did reserve spaces in the grill hut for a delicious meal and terrific conversation (I'd note that for those interested in ice fishing, Atte is a skilled guide). The mobile cabins themselves were wholly original, compact yet comfortable rooms on runners. They are pulled out on the ice at 8 pm and retrieved at 8 am, giving you many quiet and peaceful hours on the lake with the lights of homes and Inari town in the distance. Our evening was mostly overcast so we saw only one hint of aurora, but one can imagine the show when the sky is clear. We wrapped our visit with a delicious homecooked breakfast back at basecamp. Absolutely amazing time with my little one. Santa village is a 45 minute drive away but perfect to catch the Northern lights and be in nature.

Located in Tornio city centre, this camping offers cottages with a terrace, kitchenette and river views. Tornio Train Station is 2.5 km away. Parking is free on site. Kids had so much fun here and parents were able to relax. Trampoline, pool, river, minigolf, bikes and pedal cars were great. There is a big hypermarket nearby (5-10 mins by bike, 20 mins by foot) and staff was very friendly. Being able to park the car right next to the cabin was handy.

Set a 5-minute drive from Ivalo town centre, Ivalo River Camping offers heated cottages with shared kitchen facilities in the summer time, free parking and free WiFi. The property is great for a winter wonderland holiday - a nice location close to Ivalo airport, but still in the middle of nature and close to Ivalo River, which is great for aurora hunting. The cabins are very cute and cozy. There is a nice hike that they informed us about that led us to a beautiful viewing point, and they lend you sleds during your stay which was fun. Breakfast is tasty, and the cabins have a water boiler, mini fridge and microwave (on top of a shared kitchen), which makes it easy to make your own meals if you wish to.

The cabin is located on a small hill with a nice view over the fells. Even the cabin is small, you find everything there you need! Kitchen well equipped, modern bathroom, comfortable beds! Even I arrived before check-in time, they made sure I could already pick up the cabin key.
