Hacienda Rio Oro is a great place to take a day to rest after you get out from Corcovado. It's a glamping site, sitting in the back yard of what used to be a cattle ranch. It's completely isolated from anything else, a 45 minute walk to the nearest beach you can swim in, and about an hour drive from Puerto Jimenez. You can hear the hauling mankeys early in the morning. The staff is very welcoming and will gladly attend to all your needs. The food is different in every meal and is simply delicious. I recommend to take the kayak tour they offer which will take you to the lagoon located in their back yard (which is much much bigger than it sounds) and you can end the tour on an isolated, beautiful beach, looking at one of the best sunsets you'll see.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! It was extremely clean and had a beautiful greenery surrounding the property. I loved how tasteful the decor was, from the furniture to the bed coverings! The Bathroom was so beautiful and I loved the shower. My favourite part was the fireplace which made everything more cozy. The service was also incredible. The hosts were always super quick to answer any questions and made us feel right at home. I would highly recommend this stay during your time at Monteverde!

The place is like a paradise garden. Elmer is also a fantastic cook, dinner was the best rocks food I had in Costa Rica. Make sure to arrive before night fall, this way it's easier to find the way

The location and how the camp blends with it are quite unique and fantastic. I believe I saw the best sunset of my life in here. Miguel and Pili are also very good. Miguel also taught me to surf! It's also very cool that everything is autosuficient.

Really nice stay in this cute cabaña ! We loved the kitchen well equiped with the rice cooker. The hosts are welcoming and help you with everything.

I loved every moment staying here. The location is stunning, the Ocean view, the jungle path... The place has style and it's super comfortable. I was able to work without a problem, the internet worked reallt well. The staff was super friendly and really useful, I wish I could stay longer! Thanks, I will come back for sure!

We liked it so much we stayed another night. This is a bright and breezy cabina- no need for aircon, just open the windows and doors. As the cabins is high up you can leave the doors and windows open. Well equipped kitchen with very comfortable bed. Very clean and tidy. Fab sea views and pleasant garden. Great place for chilling out. Close to town with supermarkets and other amenities. Hans and his wife are friendly and very helpful, making our stay a very pleasant one. Highly recommended. Thank you!
