The adults-only Morndyke Shepherds Huts Shepherds' Hut offers self-catering accommodation 3 miles from the centre of Thirsk and the James Herriot museum.

Morndyke Shepherds Huts Farm also has a 2-acre fishing lake for campers to use at an additional cost, and is based on a working farm.

Me and my partner really liked the location and really liked the facilities the farm had. About a 10 minute drive to Thirsk which was a beautiful village. My partner being a keen fisherman said the fishing lake was a very good size but never got a chance to fish this time but next time he would bring his fishing rod. The amenities was very good too, washing machine, tumble dryer which came in very handy as we brought our dog with us. Friendly farmer. Beautiful setting, All in all a very pleasant stay.

very quaint and offbeat back to nature I came at a very quiet time. which I enjoyed, but for more social folk might enjoy it more when it’s busier, lots of good walks with the dog exploring the camp grounds
