Offering a garden and garden view, Penzion Mayer is set in Bled, 500 metres from Sports Hall Bled and 1.3 km from Bled Castle. This was my favorite guesthouse (of 4) in Slovenia. It's a beautiful alpine building in a quiet neighborhood but with easy access to town/the lake and ample free parking. Breakfast was excellent. It's run by three generations of women.

Newly opened in April 2009 after extensive renovations, this 4-star hotel, first opened in 1906, is only 200 metres from Lake Bled and in the immediate vicinity of the train station. Truly exceptional place. Wonderful service and location.

Situated in the heart of Triglav National Park in Ribčev Laz, Hotel Gasperin Bohinj is 250 metres away from Bohinj Lake. It offers Bed & Breakfast, en-suite rooms with satellite TV and fridges. The owners are friendly and went above and beyond by doing our laundry and packing us a lunch for a modest extra fee. They also prepared breakfast early since we had to check out earlier than the standard time. Breakfast was also very good and the room and property were very nice. Nothing not to like.
