The good: The view from the house is breathtaking. It is even better when the sun is shining. It was hushed. The house felt very cozy. I love the wood and the detail that went into the setup. I also love that in every room “but the bathroom,” you can view the beautiful surroundings. A smart TV was available. All the kitchen materials require a dishwasher Shout out. I want to shout out to Maria. She was in attendance for us during breakfast, and she made us feel at home. And even let us know about a fantastic photo spot and where the local grocery store is to pick up additional supplies. I also want to shout out to Elisa. She is a housekeeping assistant, and she went above and beyond the call of duty. It is genuinely greatly appreciated. Overall, I give it an 8.9 out of 10, and I will stay again, even during the summertime.

I would definately recommend Casa de Santo Amaro as it is one of the best places I've ever stayed!! Beautiful,calm,clean,amazing view....once I arrived, it immediately felt like home! It's a perfect base camp for exploring the beautiful Island of Pico and it's many wonders! Unfortunately I didn't meet Augusto and his Family in person this time,but communication via Whats app was absolutely spotless and Augusto is a very caring host who provides helpful informations and all the help in the world if needed. If you're searching for a place full of soul,tranquility and peacefulness in a wonderful surrounding,this may just be your place!😊 Dear Augusto....Thanks again a million times for the lovely stay and all the help and I'll be very happy to be back in the future!! The booking and information received regarding check-in, wifi access and restaurants in the area was super efficient. The room was sparkling clean. Teresa is very responsive and checked if all is fine and if any information is needed. The location requires a car rental. It is very calm and the garden area is an oasis of calm. BBQ area is efficiently stocked with coal, wood, crockery and has also salt, pepper, oil and vinegar and an espresso machine - a nice detail! There is a cooking plate and a pan, so you can make a pot of pasta. Bowls for tossing a salat are also available. The fridge and water kettle with a nice selection of tea is in the room. I found all excellent value for money. A 10min walk leads you to a lovely little beach with stair access to the sea. The location is perfect to explore the island. Easy access to the south side of the island via the regional road crossing the island from north to south. I loved my stay in the Santo Amaro area so much that I wanted to extend. All was fully booked but Teresa managed to find me a room and even a car to rent:) Thank you Teresa!

I enjoyed the breathtaking view. House was clean and comfortable. It fit its purpose. The renovation of the property attached doesn’t affect the enjoyment of this property but the lack of proper signage and a clear explanation of its location behind the property under renovation makes it challenging to find.
