We loved staying at Casa Sofia (Sofia House). The house is modern, functional and comfortable. There is plenty of space around the house, which is ideal for those with children (which was our case). The house is located in a quiet area and the centre of Vila do Carvalhal is a 5-minute walk away. It takes about 10 minutes by car to get to the beach, but if you decide to walk, it will take a little longer. We really enjoyed our stay and the hosts were always available and quick to respond to our needs. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for everything Ana and Carlos.

We spent 5 days at Casa Atlantico Carvalhal and we couldn't have been happier. We were greeted in the most professional manner, given a run through of all the workings of the apartment and recommendations with maps for the surrounding area which was a great help. We were given a lovely welcome basket of freshly baked bread, eggs, water, and fruits, teas and coffee. The apartment is just as pictured, very comfortable, clean with so many amenities which are done very well. There are bikes! We took many rides along the dikes in the rice fields and to the very nearby beach. Our hosts were graciously attentive, making sure we had everything we needed and they went out of their way to ensure we had a perfect stay. And we did! Just lovely. This is a beautiful picturesque area. The apartment with it's pretty pool, is situated on a small hill overlooking the rice fields which are enchanting. We would return to this accommodation any day and often, if we could!!
