The first review I’ve ever written. We wanted somewhere to relax close to Fez to end our trip and didn’t want to spend a fortune. We booked this without super high expectations and we’re blown away. Everything is perfect. The staff are so kind and attentive, farm to table food beyond delicious ! Such a calm environment. We planned to go to see the area but couldn’t leave. We’ll be back again and again I hope.

a beautiful little space, like something out of Arabian Nights. very atmospheric and comfortable. the host Thami was very kind and helpful, and made sure I had everything I need. great location close to the centre of town.

Dar Kamal Chaoui is a fantastic opportunity to get away from the main tourist trail in Morocco and see an authentic town not far from Fez. Kamal is a brilliant communicator in English and French, and after a long career in Europe he is passionate about showing visitors a real Moroccan community and improving the lives of the local people. The guesthouse is beautifully decorated with local crafts, and you can relax with the family, but also be alone if you want to be. I went with Kamal on a challenging but incredible hike over the Kandar mountains behind Bhalil. Thank you Kamal!
