Had top flat, nice views. Building clean and modern. Great price. Even though located on the main st (just out of the centre a little) was very quiet. Lots of cafes and shops nearby. We even had a chinese which was delicious. Lots to see a short drive away. Highly recommended

We had a great stay, the room was spacious and bright. The house has an amazing view, you can park very easily. Dee was amazing, she helped us with everything we needed, gave us many tips on photography spots as she's also a photographer. I definitely recommend to stay here, we will for sure go back!!! This was once a residential care facility that is being retro-fitted as seven individual flats, using modern fixtures and neat furniture - much from IKEA. And they really are self-contained and could be lived in long term - and come equipped with kitchen basics in terms of both tools and the kinds of ingredients you don't want to buy at every stop: pepper, oil, tea, coffee, milk, sugar. There's a full stove, dishwasher, and a smart TV. It's a very nice development and in a wonderful position, within walking distance to all that downtown Kirkcudbright has to offer - with two supermarkets, multiple take-out food outlets, countless galleries, and lovely gift and flower shops. If you're coming for a family occasion, call ahead to Lily Knowles Flowers and ask for Adele. Access is by easy electronic codes and a lockbox for the key, so arrival times are flexible - which can be a blessing given how hard it can be to predict cross country trips in Scotland. Kirkcudbright is also the home of Scottish Photography Hides which is well worth checking out for their award worthy professional photography opportunities. Just a neat location overall.

The house was excellent, loads of room for everyone, and spotlessly clean. Everything that we required was available. The welcome bottle of wine and chocolates always adds to that special touch of thought. All bedrooms were great, and everyone commented on how comfy the beds were. The garden was enclosed, with ample seats for everyone, especially when the sun was out all weekend. There were lots of places in the surrounding area to visit,i.e., coffee shops, bars and restaurants. Having the local supermarket about 1 minute walk around the corner was added bonus. Not associated with the house, but at the end of the lane, there was a local bowling club whom we would like to give a big thank you . We asked if we could play (no one in our group has ever tried). They were so helpful, provided bowls, and really welcomed us. Absolutely fab afternoon, finished off with some beers. The round of golf was played at the local golf club on our 1st day, in Kirkcudbright, great course and fabulous lunch provided.

We spent a couple of nights staying in the Kite’s Rest… Absolutely great place to stay with great hosts who were extremely helpful and great to chat away to :-) The setting is perfect; quiet, great views and loads of space. We had glorious weather so made use of the BBQ and sat out on the decking area morning and night! We thoroughly enjoyed our time - Thanks!
