The apartment is situated in the heart of the old city but still very peaceful. When we were visiting local rugby team has won European championship so there were a lot of parties in the city but there was barely any noise coming to the apartment. The apartment is decorated eclectic but very chic, so one can see that Virginie has an amazing taste! The bed was very comfortable with quality bedsheets, so even if I was 7,5 months pregnant when visiting, I had a most comfortable sleep.

L'Art Studio is fitted to the highest standard. Our room was a generous size with en suite bathroom. I came with a kitchen with kettle, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, fridge. We had a welcome bottle of fizz, and provisions for breakfast on our first morning. It is on a quiet street, yet only 10-15 minutes walk to the waterfront, where there are many bars and cafes. We arrived by car and after unloading were directed to free parking close by. All in all, an excellent base to visit La Rochelle.

    Great location. Very clean. Ideal for my purposes as just a 2 night stay. Would recommend for single traveller or remote worker. Would possibly not be good for a long term stay for more than one Host very accommodating and quick to reply.

    The hotel was as expected: not especially cheap but comfortable, in a prime location and ideal for sight-seeing in La Rochelle. We could offload baggage outside the hotel front door and parking was much easier than feared, with plenty of spaces available very close by and reasonable charges paid as we left.

    Perfect location, very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and comfortable room. We were there for a full week and had a lovely holiday. Ideally located to move on foot or by bike, very close to bus stops and surrounded by a wealth of restaurants, cafes and shops.

    the location was just so so ideal for La Rochelle. you’re right in the centre of everything and can easily access every part of the city. Staff were so friendly and the room was SPOTLESS each day

    The hotel staff were all friendly, helpful and polite. The beds were super comfy. The room was spotless and very quiet despite overlooking the road. The location was ideal, so close to good cafes, restaurants and the old town and harbour. We would definitely come to Hotel St Nicolas again.
