Amazing authentic place with view of the mountains, close to the Ballenberg museum and Lake Brienz. The place is clean, all amenities are in place, the bed is very comfortable, beautiful and well-maintained yard. I could bring my doggy with me and we definitely enjoyed our stay. A good budget place for 2-3 nights stay in the country side, a good base for exploring the mountains - about 45 min drive from Stechelberg and Grindenwald, 10min from Brienz. A restaurant on site with hearty Swiss food (rosti and desserts were delicious) at good prices where locals eat - it gets booked up so best to book on the weekend (you can have the food also in the apartment if it's full). The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. We didn't try breakfast as the dinner plates were huge. The heaters were on when we arrived. A nice Jura coffee machine prefilled with beans.

Better than we expected! Everything was beautiful and very, very clean. The owners are very kind. There is a shared balcony and an equipped kitchen (microwave, toaster, coffee machine, plates, cups, glasses)... The cupboards are full of snacks and the fridge is full of juices, beer, water, yogurt, ice cream, and all of it costs only 1 CHF. In the fridge you have your own container for things, and if that's not enough, you can ask for more. You also have a closet in the dining room with a key where you can keep your things. The bathroom is fully equiped (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, ear cleaning sticks, wet wipes, dental floss, hair dryer)... What particularly surprised us is that when you check in, you get a card with your basic information on it, and with that card you have a discount on a very large number of the attractions you'd like to see. The location is simply breathtaking, there's lots of extraordinary locations to visit, and many of them were in a close vicinty of our accommdation. If you want to experience Switzerland, come to Brienz!

The apartment was in a beautiful location close to the lakefront of Lake Brienz. It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. There was a terrace with a table and benches for eating outside with a view and a balcony as well. It was a serene location and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Great central location to most of the touristic sites, great view from the balcony of lake Brienz and surrounding mountains including the apartment being very clean and comfortable. The host was quick to answer a couple of questions that we had while we were there. The town of Brienz is very nice to walk around at any time especially along the path near the lake..
