We were made to feel very welcome upon arrival and we were able to store our bikes in the garage. We had a lovely room with a view over the Danube and a balcony. Beds were really comfortable and the shower was great. We were the only guests (as it was Sunday night) but we still had a full breakfast laid out for 2. We ate in the restaurant which was fine. The menu is very limited though. Overall, a lovely stay.

Of course, the hotel also welcomes non-cyclists. The Wachauerhof is the ideal starting point to explore the Wachau and the Waldviertel region, with its largely untouched nature and its great number of cultural monuments.
