Good value for money although pricing algorithm is always unpredictable on booking. Personnel was friendly and very accommodating. Bikes can be taken out for free (but those are the one gear tourist bikes, not necessarily suitable for longer journeys)

Genuinn is situated in Taitung City, a 6-minute walk from Taitung Railway Station. Every room at this inn is air-conditioned and is fitted with a TV. You will find a kettle in the room. Very friendly host,great location,especially the room is very clean and comfortable :)

This place had more nice touches than anywhere else we have stayed in a year of travelling. A high quality Bluetooth speaker in the room. Simple, but very calming decoration. TV was absolutely huge and had netflix and amazon prime already set up for guests. The shower pressure and heat were consistent and good. Location is a 7min walk from the train station or a short bike ride into town. If you are without a car like we were, the location couldn't be better being so close to the train station (there is a tourist bus that does a loop to a lot of the major stops outside of town from there, and intercity trains leave from there). If you are down to walk a lot, it's about an hour walk to the centre of town. Also, some cute cats hang around the property (but not in the rooms - don't worry if you are allergic, I am and I didn't react) Owner was very responsive and helped us organize ourselves with the bus and coordinate a plan for sights to see outside the city, which made for a great day or two.

The room was spacious. The bathroom was modern and clean. The hosts were very accommodating even arranging transport to the hot spring. The common areas were spacious. Breakfast was supplied at the local breakfast shop.
