Mehmet was a great host giving us a warm welcome on arrival. He helped to book hot air balloon and airport shuttle prior to our arrival. Also helped to arrange a quad bike and green tour which were great additions to our visit. Morning breakfast was awesome with a lot of options. He was kind enough to give us light breakfast pack for our early morning return flight.

Early morning, you can see the balloons from the window just above our hotel. Staff was veeeeery friendly and helpful.

Located in Uchisar and with Uchisar Castle reachable within 600 metres, Pigeon Hotel Cappadocia provides express check-in and check-out, soundproof rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a terrace. This is now one of my favourite hotels anywhere in the world. It's tucked away from the road in a stunning, quiet location with beautiful views. The proprietors and their staff are warm, friendly, and helpful in every way. I arrived with a sore back and they gave me soothing gel, offered to take me for a massage, and upgraded my room. The food is amazing - the owner is a great cook, and offers all sorts of special pastries or dinner dishes on request (or just because). Best of all is the decor. The rooms are simply but finely decorated, everything in perfect taste, and the bathrooms are among the best I've ever seen (I heard other guests saying so too!), especially the different shower options after long days of hiking.
