The decision to stay at Roça Vale dos Prazeres as the starting point for my trip in São Tomé couldn't have been better! I had read the various reviews about how helpful and excellent hosts Joana and Ricardo were and I was not disappointed, on the contrary. Joana and Ricardo picked me up from the airport with a big smile which, after a long flights, its just lovely! They welcomed me in their Roça, took care of me during my stay there and even after I had left to other places they still helped me out a few times, absolutely godsend :-) They gave me the best tips to help me navigate the culture and the island. The Roça is beautiful, the breakfast was probably the best I had during my entire holidays, the room was big - loved the porch. I highly recommend it!

Featuring pool views, Eden Valley Ecolodge and Farming in Madalena features accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. This property offers access to a balcony and free private parking. I have stayed 2 nights on the 1 bed bungalow + 4 nights on the 2 bed bungalow: this review will be about both of these to avoid duplicate reviews. About the bungalows: - The bungalows are absolutely beautiful, very well cleaned, beautifully decorated. Mattress and pillows were super comfortable, as well as quality of the sheets. And bonus points - only accommodation in Sao Tome I found a duvet!!! Most places have just a small blanket but nothing beats a proper duvet for someone like me who always gets cold at night. - It has a mini fridge, a TV, hot water with good pressure, quality towels, a hammock and sofas outside to chill. Honestly, this is top quality accommodation, especially for the cost. About the property: - The staff are super kind and helpful and made me feel very looked after <3 and the owner Erikson was always available through whatsapp ready to send tips, ask how things are going, etc also super accommodating with doing late check out since my flights was not before 10pm. - Their menu is really amazing, and they have proper vegetarian meals!!! It's amazing to feel that vegetarian meals are not just an afterthought. The desserts were also absolutely spectacular (that passionfruit mousse... to die for). And the omelette they made for lunch was exquisite, other locations should learn from them on how to make an omelette dish that is actually good, not oily, balanced and super tasty. - The waterfall that can be heard from anywhere in the property is yet another amazing selling point. You can hike to see it up close! - I enjoyed the pool and the pond next to it, with fish and turtles! Even if turtles were a bit shy. Nice place to refresh after a day out. - And last but not least, Jeff, the ginger cat. He's such a lovely kitty!!! As a crazy cat lady this was definitely one of the best things (I often look for cat references in reviews so leaving this one for other crazy cat people like myself :)) Overall top notch accommodation in Sao Tome!

600 metres from Emília Beach, casa Luis is a recently renovated property set in São Tomé and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Possibly the best BF I have ever had - lots of coffee, juice, tea, fruit, croissant, bun, ham, cheese, fried egg.

Featuring garden views, RALUX house in São Tomé offers accommodation and a garden. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. Overall, my family and I had a great experience at the Ralux House, the host Sr. Mário, his wife, and staff were incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. Although we didn't have breakfast most of the time, breakfast was always available. The rooms were wonderful, clean, and perfect for our stay in São Tomé. The location is superb, only 5 minutes walk to most tourist attractions in the city centre. My mother had a wonderful 79th birthday celebration. She loved the guesthouse and felt at home, and that was important. It is never easy to please a teenager and a 79 year old lady 😁, so I'm glad they were both happy. Thank you, Sr Mário and family, we will surely return! I recommend Ralux House to everyone visiting São Tomé!

Situated in São Tomé, Baig's Guest House features air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. The property has city views. Very good location, and the apartment is equipped with everything you need. Comfortable bed, great shower pressure, good AC. Close to very nice restaurants and shops. Host is very accommodating and helpful as well as responsive. I would recommend staying here! Breakfast is served at a local downstairs. To check in you have to go to the shop on the right of the entrance. Pay cash (did say will charge my card but didn’t)

Set in Milagrosa in the Sao Tome Island region, Welfare AgroTurismo features a balcony and mountain views. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Wow! We arrived late and the place looked like a heavenly shelter in the forest. we found out it is! The pictures are not pimped, the place is like that or even better, the rooms were clean like a nuclear lab. The room was cosy, the bed perfect, we simply couldnt have wished for better. Maria is a cheerful and all in all a wonderful host. we are grateful for all! Their chocolate mousse unforgottable! the place is en route Bombaim, so brace for road conditions, but if you want to check more remote and smaller places/sanctuaries, the place is for you! no internet, no cellular signal! enjoy your digital detox, thats what you probably came for.

Featuring mountain views, VIP House-Praia Francesca features accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around less than 1 km from Lagarto Beach. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace. Fernando was an excellent host, picked us up and brought us again to the airport and was very nice. The small apartment is very clean, in a very convenient location a few minutes from the airport. I would definitely recommend staying here. Breakfast was also great in the patio in the garden. Thank you for the excellent homemade juices!

Facing the seafront in Santa Cruz, Pousada Vila Paraíso features a garden and a terrace. The scenery was exceptional, quiet - you hear the waves of the ocean. animalfriends have a good time here, a funny monkey, cats, dog chicken and goats! The stuff is very friendly and eager to help with everything you need! the place is a bit hidden at a cliff, so either you check your own food prehand or you eat at the restaurant. the food at the restaurant is very good! if you don't have a car its not easy to reach, but here you can find help even with that!

Central location - walking distance to most places in the city centre House is beautiful, clean, quiet and safe Nilda, the host, and her cheerful mother and most hospitable with great knowledge of the island (including places for best food) Would love to visit again
