The location in center of town is great. The staff was very helpful and nice. Food in cafe was excellent as was the service. Room had an incredible view.

Situated in Porto, Rio da Vila features accommodation 80 metres from Ferreira Borges Market. The Guest house offers a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with a hairdryer, free toiletries and... excellent location, walking distance to anything we were interested in while in porto. were able to leave our bags at reception after checkout until 15:00 in to transit to our next hotel. great value.

On arrival we were greeted very warmly by Teresa who immediately made us feel very welcome and took her time to give us a tour of our room, the terrace and the breakfast area. The room was fantastic, every part of it spacious and beautifully designed. The beds were large, warm and very comfortable, the bedding cosy. We were here with our 2 year old son and the team had prepared a separate small bed with child size duvet and pillow for him, which was unexpected and a wonderful surprise for him. The room had a coffee machine and mini fridge with complimentary coffees, teas and a bottle of water. The bathroom had quality shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser etc. The next morning we arrived for breakfast at a time prearranged the day before, this meant the room wasn’t overcrowded and gave us a relaxed start to the day. The staff we met for breakfast were again incredibly warm, welcoming and friendly, showing us where everything was and offering freshly cooked eggs and coffees. It was a self serve buffet and the food and drinks were constantly topped up, croissants still warm, juice freshly pressed. Everyone who works here clearly enjoys working here and it’s easy to see why. The owner (who is also present and working alongside her team) has created not only a wonderful environment for her guests, but also a very positive and warm environment for her employees. This joy passes down to the guests ensuring they are fully catered for on their visit. They take the time to get to know you, we had wonderful conversations, advice on getting around and what to do while in Porto. We never felt that they were rushed or that we were inconveniencing them. We genuinely couldn’t be happier with our stay. The room and food were incredible, but what stood out for us was the experience the team gave us, this was beyond any hospitality we’ve ever received and made it truly memorable for us.

The room, the ambient, the cleanliness , the location in a strategic area closer to almost all the shopping malls, fast foods, restaurants and more The host/Manager is very exceptional, helpful and hospitable, excellent communication, and always willing to help. My accomodation type does not come with a microwave, but he went out of his way to provide one, within a little time, I stayed on the apartment for 19nights and room get cleaned everyday, this apartment is rated 7star if you permit me..and highly recommended
