Absolutely loved our stay here! Our room was beautiful and we loved soaking in the hot tub and listening to the river in the evening. The breakfast and treats were much appreciated! I proprietari sono molto simpatici e disponibili. Mettono a disposizione la loro cucina, ci hanno dato informazioni per il Tongariro. La camera aveva una bella vista. Il bagno non è in a camera ma a fianco. È in buona posizione per visitare il parco, mezz'ora in macchina e 15 minuti da Ohakume (per poter cenare occorre andare presto, alle 21 chiude tutto)

Frankie and Hugh's felt like home away from home. Marlene and Wayne were great host and made every effort to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We found the property clean, spacious and well maintained. The breakfast was good and we very much enjoyed our stay at the property.

Well located near the national park. Very friendly owners. I really enjoyed the interesting conversations with them.

Fabulous accommodation with superior bathroom and facilities. Fantastic breakfast offerings and the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them.

My partner and I stayed at the River Lodge during our Christmas/ summer holiday and it was EXCEPTIONAL. Cleanest room we have ever stayed in. The hosts are fantastic, great vibes all round! The included breakfast was delicious and we had all the amenities we needed. Well worth the price and experience away from a chain hotel. The setting is so green, relaxing and warm. We slept so well as it was so quiet. Highly recommend you stay here if you are planning to hike the Tongariro Alpine Crossing - Dani can organise a direct shuttle to/from the track for you.
