Nice comfortable stay, room was spacious and the place was very clean. The breakfast was great with a nice selection of toast spreads and poached eggs. Kathie was very friendly and helpful, providing good information of things to do in the Hokianga area. We enjoyed our stay at Kathie's place, and it was great value for money.

Marriner's Boutique Guesthouses in Rawene offers bungalows with free parking and free WiFi. Full in-room dinner service is available by arrangement. The guesthouse was stunning with no detail missed. Robyn prepared lamb shanks for us for dinner and they were delicious. Unfortunately we think we stayed at the best accommodation early in our trip and nothing else will begin to compare. Waiotemarama Falls Lodge is a holiday home located in Opononi, 47 km from Kaitaia. Guests benefit from balcony and a sun terrace. Free private parking is available on site. Absolutely stunning location, awesome views all around thanks to huge windows in every direction plus a 270° wrap-aroung-porch. This "humble abode" is luxuriously spacious and the whole place got very good vibes. The infos prepared by Candace, our hostess included not only things to do and the weather but also tide-times, stars visible during our stay and sunrise / sunset. I would definitely stay there again, but would try to stay longer, which I recommend to everyone. Three days is the minimum... The pantry and fridge were so well stocked that we didn't need to go grocery shopping. Did I mention the washing machine (lots of washing powder provided too) and the dryer?

Nastanitev Hokianga Haven je v mestu Opononi, 1,8 km od znamenitosti Plaža Opononi Beach. V sklopu nastanitve so v ponudbi vrt, terasa in Restavracija. We stayed on the basis of self catering. What we loved about the property was that it exceeded our expectations. The position is wonderful with immediate access to the beach. Whilst there are very few facilities for us in this location (it didn’t matter as that’s why we chose to stay there) there was a hotel where we ate it and the two nights we were there and that was extremely good. There was a local shop where we go to get supplies. On a five week trip to New Zealand, this was one of the highlights!
