AA Homestay ligt in Mulu en biedt een zithoek. AA Homestay was the best homestay I’ve ever been. The owners are very kind and excellent chefs, their fried rice, pumpkin curry and vege jungle fern were the best I’ve ever eaten. They are the most welcoming hosts I’ve ever met in Malaysia. Staying in their homestay was the highlight of the Gunung Mulu National Park.

Location is very central- plenty of places to eat and shop within walking distance. Host was very responsive, and helped arrange everything even though I made a last minute booking. Honestly really good value for money. With good internet speed provided, not having a TV in the room was really not an issue. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a short comfy stop over.

The owner is very thoughtful and sweet. He made everything easy for us to have a pleasant stay. It really felt like home. The ability to cook, do your washing, and use the bicycle are a huge plus !

Nanga Damai Homestay ligt in Damai en beschikt over een tuin en een terras. Het heeft onder meer een gedeelde lounge en een bar. Het pension biedt een buitenzwembad en een bagageopslag. Perfect little gem, we would go back anytime, the owners are so friendly and helpful, the outside area is amazing, you see monkeys from the terrace almost every day. We loved this place! Make sure you hire a car from Kuching, not only to get to Nanga Damai but also to explore the area, it's worth it and driving is easy, not much traffic at all. If you are fit and like hiking, Mount Santubong is waiting for you :) and the "Blue Pool" is a nice loop, as well. Kuching Wetlands by boat is fun and there's a lot more! ENJOY
