At the guest house, all rooms are equipped with a wardrobe, and certain units offer a terrace, or a seating area or a kitchen. very very nice guesthouse in a perfect location. at first we had some misunderstandings because of language difficulties :) but the people are very nice and helpful, the food is amazing and the room very nice and comfortable. I would definitely come again and stay longer next time

The spacious holiday home is fitted with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, bed linen, towels, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a terrace with sea views. Guests can take in the views of the river from the patio, which also has outdoor furniture. For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and soundproofing. I loved this property. The view was absolutely fantastic and a joy to wake up to every morning. The house was in a lovely secluded position on the hillside and so well equipped from a fridge freezer, great coffee machine, excellent Wifi and so much more. The owner was so responsive by text and the lovely Melissa was on hand if I needed anything. She also cooked me the best meal I had on the island. There was a great little shop down the road and excellent local restaurant with a bus stop at the end of the track to get into town or to the beach or It was a 15 minute if you fancied the walk to Mourouk beach. I was a solo female traveller and felt very safe. I cannot wait to go back and can’t recommend this place enough, especially if you are wanting to experience a beautiful authentic island off the beaten track. This accommodation offers it all. It’s tremendously exciting for world travelers to find somewhere very special like Rodrigues Island, 600 km east of Mauritius. Even more intriguing is what the accommodation will be like so far from the populated world. The pick-up from the little airport was faultless despite a common Air Mauritius delay and we were greeted at the Blue Room by John who showed us around and settled us in. The accommodation is simple and entirely unpretentious where everything works, including (now wait for it) wifi that yields, another ‘wait for it’, 320 Mbps! Plenty of water for the shower, hot and cold, with uninterrupted power supply. John can make available a car, a robust 4x4, at rates that, as I told him, are far below market rates. The Blue Room overlooks the somewhat distant Indian ocean that is a short drive away in Anse aux Anglais, down the hill. Restaurant-wise, there’s not a hell of a lot going on in Rodrigues but the local village down the hill offers some animation in the way of two okay eateries and a little grocery store. It’s pretty too. So, it’s a great place to stay (without AC but good fans) and highly recommended indeed. Bravo John!

Mr & Mrs Jameson were very warm and welcoming. The cottage is situated on the high where the view is spectacular over the ocean. The cleanliness was second to none. Owner was helpful and felt home. It was my first time at the Rodrigues and can strong recommend the Eagles Nest Cottage. It’s spacious and can easier accommodate a family of 5. The cottage has a kitchen facility where you can prepare a good feast if you don’t feel like going out.

The attention to the little details in the house, which is furnished with great taste, is impressive. You feel really at home & you quickly feel that the owners of this house want their guests to feel at home. Everything is well thought for & done to that effect. Fabienne cooked delicious local food for us and made our stay really special. Johnny, the watchman, was marvellous with the kids who fell in love with the animals on the farm. The veranda is exceptional & spacious and we spent much time there, after a day of fun activities on the island. This is definitely a 10 out of 10! We shall definitely be back at Letan Lontan for another family getaway.
