The swimming pool, the peace and quiet, the lake.. we didn’t even pay attention to the villa itself and still it was gorgeous and comfy. But the service, the place the location. Wow! We saw buffalos from the room, a crocodile, peacocks… it was AMAZING

This is a 5 star glamping experience located in the middle of the jungle. The room is well airconditioned, very spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We had a lovely dinner under the stars. A delicious huge breakfast was brought over to our room in the morning. It was an experience using the jacuzzi in the wild too. We were given a complimentary early morning walk in the vicinity of the hotel. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the wildlife we saw. The whole concept is eco-friendly. The ideal location to start from or end the day for a Yala safari tour. Certainly worth staying at.

Wonderful hosts were so welcoming. They took care of everything for us. The rooms were very comfortable. We enjoyed a beautiful welcome drink and offers of transportation to the local restaurants at no charge. Our hosts arranged a super safari experience for us; our guide was outstanding. On our return another beautiful juice was prepared for us and we could freshen up before being transported to our next destination .

Clean air-conditioned room, large balcony, safe and peaceful location. Arranged tours of Yala and provided a large quality breakfast. Property communicated well and were so helpful with local suggestions. Great value for the price.

Mailagama Cinnamon Residence features free WiFi and views of mountain in Sellakataragama. Featuring a concierge service, this property also provides guests with a terrace. An amazing place to stay at if you happen to be in Kataragama or want to take a tour in Yala park. It is situated among rice paddies. The hosts were really nice and organized safari for us. The food was really tasty and substantial. You can see how cinnamon is grown and buy some Highly recommend the place!

Spread across 2 acres of lakefront property, Wild Lotus Yala is set in a quiet rural village close to Yala National Park. A wonderful place in the middle of nature. Access by car is difficult, but totally worth it. It was nice that a bigger Safari car was organized to meet us on the way. The manager (Gamini) is very accommodating and super friendly. We stayed Deluxe Bungalow - An incredibly specious villa. The whole area is very quiet and surrounded by beautiful nature. The property even has its own observation tower where you can enjoy the sunset in the evening and the sunrise in the morning. The food was delicious and wonderful. The BBQ bonfire dinner was very special and memorable. A perfect place to stay if you want to go on a Yala Safari. Safari offered by the hotel is a bit expensive, so consider different options if possible. All in all.. A nice place to stay in Sri Lanka for sure. The host was incredibly friendly and helped us out with any matter we had and also organized an amazing safari for us. After we arrived he took us for a little bird tour, which was really nice. He treated us with a fresh coconut, fruits and little snacks. The hospitality was outstanding. The room and generally the whole property was clean and comfy. We felt really welcomed and enjoyed our stay! We can definitely recommend this awesome place! Thank you very much for everything, we will come back! :-)

Kele Yala is a boutique hotel situated in the dry zone in Kataragama. Absolutely beautiful stay - the friendliest staff and the best food we had in all of Sri Lanka. Everything was perfect, they arranged our safaris for us which were fantastic and the staff were so kind with our baby girl. The pool was beautiful and so clean, the rooms were lovely. Honestly can't think of a bad word to say!

Featuring free WiFi, New Vilard Rest is set in Tissamaharama, 2 km from Tissa Wewa (Lake). Rooms are equipped with a private bathroom fitted with a bath. There is a 24-hour front desk at the property.... Very clean room and bathroom. Everything was very clean. The host was very welcoming and received us with wood apple juice. The room was exactly as described, with a good AC working perfectly and hot shower. The room was spacious, the breakfast was good and enough to start the day. For the day with the safari, the host provided breakfast when getting back, which was very nice. The homemade dinner was very tasty and abundant. Also the host helped us to take the bus nearby the accommodation. Highly recommended if you go to Tissa and want a peaceful place to stay. The only minus could be that WiFi works well outside, in the room the signal is weak.
