Set just 38 km from Kumbichchan Kulama Tank, Wilpattu Mookalan Resort provides accommodation in Habawewa with access to free bikes, a garden, as well as room service. This is a very private, hidden-away location in walking distance to the National Park. In fact, you can't get closer by staying anywhere else--and this means you save time by getting to sleep in during the morning. The host and owner, Leel, doesn't speak much English, but uses Google Translate to always help. The rooms have the best A/C, and with only a few bedrooms on the property, it's very private and great for bird-watching. Simple, efficient, and relaxing.

Wilpattu homestay by Ceylon group is a recently renovated homestay in Wilpattu, where guests can make the most of its open-air bath and free bikes. Great stay at this homestay. The guys were super friendly and helpful. They also organized the safari tour for us and everything worked!! The homestay is in a quiet area close to the park what makes it super comfortable.

Located in Wilpattu and with Kumbichchan Kulama Tank reachable within 34 km, Glamping Wilpattu by Thamaravila provides express check-in and check-out, allergy-free rooms, pool with a view, free WiFi... Priya and his team couldn’t do enough for us and was so attentive with utmost understanding and kindness to our 22month old daughter. The food was fine dining at its best and kept making the chicken soup my daughter couldn’t get enough of. Priya’s knowledge of the wildlife in the park was great and again focusing on wildlife our daughter could see.

Get up close with wildlife and nature at Leopard Trails Wilpattu, a campsite with tents offering a private bathroom. The camp managers and staff were excellent and made sure all our needs were met. The food was great and I got to try several new Sri Lankan dishes that I never tasted before. And the drive through the Safari parks that they organized were excellent.

Located on the border of Wilpattu National Park, Big Game - Wilpattu by Eco Team offers spacious tents with an attached partitioned bathroom. Comfortable glamping tents in beautiful surroundings close to Wilpattu National Park. We booked a package with a half-day safari and dinner and were not disappointed. We spotted a leopard and a bear, but that takes some luck as the vegetation is quite dense. We were upgraded to luxury tents as we were the only guests.

Really good location close to the national Park. We were originally supposed to stay in Green Sapphire but they let us down a few hours before we were due to arrive (seems they’ve done it a lot looking at the Google reviews), but the Mango Villa team had everything sorted even though we booked just a few hours earlier that day they were still able to organise 2 full day safaris for the following 2 days where we saw all sorts of great wildlife. Staff are all really friendly, especially the man who brings the food across in the evenings (unfortunately I don’t know his name). The food is good especially considering the remote location and nice packed lunches for the safari each day. Definitely the place to stay if you’re planning a Wilpattu safari!

It’s a nice home stay for the first two nights after I land in SriLanka.The host and his families are super friendly,they couldn’t speak English so it always nice to use translator to communicate. Nice locations to go to Wilpattu National Park,highly recommended
