Pearl's Homestay Matale er et nyrenoveret feriehus med have og bjergudsigt i Matale, 27 km fra butikscentret Kandy City Center. Der er adgang til terrasse og gratis privat parkering. Breakfast was amazing. Pearl and Ranjan were excellent hosts nothing was too much trouble. They organised a tuk driver for me and Ranjan even came to the train station on my departure. The room was perfect and the bed very comfortable. I would happily recommend this homestay - a perfect retreat.

At first we didn’t really know what to expect since there weren’t many reviews on booking, but we were really enthusiastic about this place. The location is stunning, it’s in the middle of nature. I also really liked the people that were hosting. The food was amazing and they made a bonfire at dinner. The woman also took us on a really cool hike through the rice fields. It was an amazing experience all together.

Wild Glamping Knuckles - Thema Collection ligger ca. 32 km fra Pallekele Internationale Cricketstadion og har udsigt til haven. Der er balkon og udendørs pejs. Banuka was very helpful and friendly! He and other staff members really made our stay so wonderful, thank you:) The location is extremely beautiful and the rooms and facilities are amazing knowing it is quite literally in the middle of forests! Very relaxing and nature-full stay:) highly recommend!!

Gammaduwa Bungalow ligger under 50 km fra butikscentret Kandy City Center i Matale og tilbyder indkvartering med opholdsområde. Ejendommen har udsigt til haven og den indre gårdhave. Stayed for 3 nights and this was our favourite place during our Sri Lanka trip. Homely feel and amazing food and service. Enjoyed the library and endless cups of excellent tea. Our room was comfortable and clean, lots of hot water. Wifi worked very well in the library area. Tea tasting was interesting and some nice walks in the area. Thanks to Dave and the staff for a memorable stay :)

The Inn at Matale ligger i Matale, Palapathwela Ross Estate Junction, og tilbyder komfortabel indkvartering for både lokale og udenlandske rejsende. Dilini is an amazing host, she recommended us nice spots in Knuckles Forrest Reserve. I would definitely recommend to stay in Matale for more than 1 night and visit Knuckles as much as possible, the nature is really beautiful (although good to have a driver or a car to visit all the spots). Also, the room was very clean with all the needed facilities. Special thank you to Dilini for making a delicious cappuccino during the breakfast!

Plantation Retreat ligger gemt væk i Kandy, blot 400 meter fra busstoppestedet Patanpaha. Der er udendørs swimmingpool og gratis WiFi. Værelserne er indrettede i typisk srilankansk stil. Sarath and his family are the most welcoming and amiable hosts we had on our journey in Sri Lanka. The lodging is on top of a hill and inside a plantation so you are all surrounded by beautiful nature. As part of the plantation Sarath and his family are growing their own coffee and spices from which Sarath's wife cooked a most delicious breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed our stay at Plantation Retreat very much and will never forget the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We can very much recommend a stay here.

Hatale Tea Estate Bungalow ligger midt blandt frodige teplantager, blot 1 km fra Hatale Tea Centre. Denne elegant indrettede ejendom har udendørs swimmingpool og gratis WiFi overalt. Highlight of my holidays, amazing staff and manager was so helpful. Beautiful gardens and tea factory. Excellent meals, it’s like going back in time. Wonderful.

Strathisla Guest House har udendørs swimmingpool, grilludstyr samt fantastisk udsigt over de naturlige omgivelser. Der er gratis WiFi overalt på stedet. One of the most memorable stays on our trip. The staff’s kindness and generosity truly is above and beyond. The place itself is incredible comfortable and beautiful and the food is delicious! There’s nothing not to love.

Loved this place! Everything was perfect! A well preserved “walawwa”, quite comfy and spacious. Can easily accommodate large groups. Would recommend this for anyone who’s looking for a homely place to stay in!
