Where do I even begin… Anathan’s place was an oasis, a safe haven for me after I spent a few days in the hectic and chaotic Colombo. From the very first moment that I arrived to the very last minute that I left, I always felt taken care of, spoiled almost, and above everything, I felt at home. In fact, Anathan’s place was so comfortable, so peaceful that it felt almost difficult to get out and explore the town. Obviously a home isn’t a home without its host. And for that, I have to thank Ananthan for going above and beyond to provide me with a comfortable stay. He always made sure that I had enough for breakfast, always asked if I wanted more tea and coffee (and yes, please), and even brought me along to the ceremonies at the Nallur temple where his family and friends were also there, welcoming me with unparalleled warmth and hospitality. Even though I was a solo traveller, I had never felt lonely during the entire stay. Ananthan was always there should I need anything. It brought me great joy and peace just to sit by the patio and listen to the singing of the birds and the rustling of the trees. I was sad that I could not stay longer. And I’d return, time and again.

Set within 1.3 km of Nallur Kandaswamy Temple and 1.8 km of Jaffna Railway Station in Jaffna, Berty's Cottage offers accommodation with seating area. Our stay at Berty’s Cottage was outstanding. Berty and Hilda are wonderful people really helpful with anything we needed, train, tuk tuk & tours before and after we arrived. Food was delicious as we requested genuine Sri Lankan and my husband got great cooking tips in the kitchen with dinner. They even packed our breakfast because we had a very early departure. The accommodation and their home is very clean and we felt welcome in all living areas. Thank you Berty and Hilda for a wonderful visit to Jaffna.

Malabar Beach Walk, a property with a garden, is located in Jaffna, 11 km from Jaffna Railway Station, 12 km from Jaffna Public Library, as well as 12 km from Jaffna Fort. Great place to stay! This place is kind a farm house. Nice and silent place. Bathroom and kitchen attached with room. Nice kammock available between Palmyra trees. Beach is situated in walking distance. Noted there is no shops nearby the property and need to bring things with us. If we need food owner will arrange Jaffna style food. Very friendly owners 😊

Facing the seafront in Delft East, Delft Village Stay has free bikes and a garden. Boasting a 24-hour front desk, this property also has a restaurant and a sun terrace. Phenomenal! Tommy has something very special going on at Delft Village Stay. The accommodation, facilities, vibe and island itself are excellent. I can't recommend this place enough.
