The location had a beautiful view and a comfortable place to hang out. It was the perfect distance from the main town. The hammock was a nice touch.

Perfect location with stores close by. The breakfast is excellent quality, and the staff are super friendly and helpful, no communication issues whatsoever. The fans in the room were more than efficient in the heat, and the room was large and airy. The common area in the cafe is well equipped with sockets and fans, and perfect for working or chilling out. Falling asleep to the sound of frogs in the nearby river was wonderful :)

A very nice family run guest house right next to the Mekong with a view from the poolside deck downstream to the old French railway bridge. Our room was at the front facing the river and had a nice balcony with a small table and deck chairs. The large pool was kept clean the entire time we were there. The owner was warm and welcoming and has good English so was able to help with enquiries and onward bookings. She also produced delicious inexpensive home cooked Lao meals and had a good supply of essentials such as cold beer. This is really good value accommodation, not luxury, but perfectly comfortable and everything you need. We were booked to stay 3 nights but ended up staying 6. Highly recommended.

The position of the place is perfect to discover the island. The person that handles the property is amazing, struggling a little bit with the English but he will definitely try to help you with your questions. The food is amazing as well and the restaurant is on the river, perfect for enjoying a nice breakfast!

Located on the sunrise side of Dondet, it’s the place where to relax and recharge. The room is clean and spacious, same goes for the bathroom. The terrace of the bungalow offers a lovely view directly on the Mekong river. Wifi is fast and stable, I could work and have online meetings without any issue (40/50 mbps). The family who owns the bungalows also owns the restaurant right in front. They are extremely friendly and willing to help for anything you may need. Laundry service is offered for 15k per kilo. The area is quiet — just few restaurants around. Across the bridge you can rent a bicycle for 15k per day. This area is about 30 minutes baking from the sunset side of the island. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and will also definitely come back!

Located in Ban Dondét and surrounded by greenery, BABA Guesthouse offers rooms with free Wi-Fi access. Rooms come with a balcony with a garden or river view, a fan and a seating area. The room was very clean, had good AirCon plus a fan, both very useful. The location was perfect and it had a balcony that was overlooking the Mekong. The view was magnificent. The place was quiet and beautiful, cleaned daily if you want and also they give a large bottle of water daily. W e liked it so much e extended by several days. The balcony had a table and two chairs. We did not Sue it much as the heat back then was intense but very pleasant to sit there and have a drink.
