The owners/staff are extremely kind and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. They allowed me to check in early and even let me use the onsen in the afternoon after checkout.

Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya heeft natuurlijke warmwaterbronnen en ligt op 15 minuten lopen van het JR-station Tendo en op 50 km van Sendai. Alles wat je kan verwachten als je een Ryokan boekt, krijg je hier in het hotel. Vanaf het ontvangst, de begeleiding naar je kamer, je grote kamer, de kleine maar perfecte onsen met binnen en buiten bad. En wat dan gezegd over het traditionele ontbijt, zowel een lust voor het oog als voor de smaakpapillen. Het hotel ligt centraal tussen Ginzan onsen en Zao onsen.

Het Tamonkan wordt omgeven door heilige bergen en ongerepte natuur en is gevestigd in een historisch gebouw in Japanse stijl. U wordt hier verwelkomd met gratis thee en lekkers. De sfeer is erg rustig en de eigenaren zijn heel erg vriendelijk! Het eten is met heel veel zorg klaargemaakt en de smaken zijn fantastisch!

Miyamaso Takamiya ligt op 10 minuten lopen van de kabelbaan Zao Sky en beschikt over 9 natuurlijke warmwaterbronnen. Excellent food, 4 onsen on property. Spacious rooms.

Guesthouse Mintaro Hut biedt eenvoudige kamers, gratis gebruik van een keuken en gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie. U kunt gratis gebruikmaken van wasfaciliteiten. Everyone was warm, even guest, being around a meal with everyone was very nice. Thanks for all Tomone-san, Hide-san and Tora-san for the calm and kindness!

The accommodation is great and the host family is super nice! Great place to stay when skiing. They helped us out a lot and gave us lots of good advice that allowed us to enjoy Zao Onsen to the max.

Taka and Oriphin are amazing hosts!! They are kind and friendly and super warm! They made me feel right at home as soon as I got there! They have a cute child! Which was enjoyable to be around. They gave me useful information and provided me with a wonderful tatami room. I wish I could have spent more time with them.

Taka, Oraphin and Yui are lovely family and hosts. They always make sure that our stay was comfortable and that we got full experience of Zao. We did not do much research about the town except for ski slopes (our main purpose was to snowboard there). However, Oraphin introduced us to many cool restaurants and, of course, free public onsens! The shared facilities were not an issue for us because all the guests were so considerate and the host always kept the bathrooms clean. Overall, we felt like home and very comfy staying in their house. Would definitely stay there if we visit Zao again and highly recommend everyone who's looking for a budget place that is super close to the slopes!

Oyado Morinone bevindt zich in Kaminoyama, op 17 km van skigebied Zao Onsen en 19 minuten lopen van treinstation Kaminoyama-Onsen, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis WiFi in de hele... This was the most elegant and restful stay of my life. Food is incredible - deserves a bib gourmand! Rooms are large and comfortable with a view. Onsen is lovely. The best is the free alcohol and hot drink service in the evenings around the fireplace. Definitely stay here if you can! It’s once in a lifetime type stuff
