El Tamonkan está situado en un edificio histórico de estilo japonés, rodeado de montañas sagradas y naturaleza virgen. Los huéspedes reciben té y aperitivos de bienvenida gratuitos. Uno de los mejores alojamientos en los que he estado por Japón. No solo porque la casa es preciosa por dentro, sino porque coger la cena y el desayuno hicieron que la experiencia completa fuera un 10, deliciosa y variada. Además, todo ello ofrecido por el matrimonio que lleva la casa, que no puede ser más servicial y amable. Nos recibieron con un té al llegar en nuestra habitación. El dueño nos enseñó la casa y el espectacular altar de Hinamatsuri que tenían expuesto. Después de la cena teníamos el futón preparado en la habitación. Fue comodisimo y descansamos fenomenal. Tienen una pequeño baño separado en hombres y mujeres, con capacidad para 3 personas. Súper limpio, cuidado y agradable. Después de la cena fue un placer disfrutar todo lo que quisimos. Sin duda querría repetir y haber estado más noches aquí. Es un lugar fantástico que hace que visitar Dewa sea todavía más especial.

El Miyamaso Takamiya está situado a 10 minutos a pie del teleférico de Zao Sky Cable y cuenta con 9 baños termales naturales. Stunning historical ryokan with a number of historic and new onsens. The rooms are renovated in a gorgeous traditional Japanese style and the meal was exceptional. The chef kindly catered for my allergy as I advised in advance. Staying at this ryokan was an exceptional experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Zao Onsen.

Near to Ropeway 3, convenience store, sake museum, and onsen. Plus points for the delicious barbecue restaurant in front of the hotel. The hosts Oraphin and Taka were very warm and spoke great English too. They had a lot of stories to share and it was such a pleasure to stay in their company. Coffee and tea were provided in the common area. Clean and well-kept place!

Taka and Oraphin are extremely professional, but also very warm, nice and available. There was a powerful heater in the bedroom, and the (large) living room is heated with a fireplace. Very calm at night. Can help yourself freely with coffee and tea. All the necessary informations about the village (convenience store, onsen, even the ski resort, etc.) are explained (very clearly) at your arrival by the host(s) (who can speak many different languages fluently, including but not limited to, English and Japanese, Chinese). About the village and the ski resort: there are many traditional onsen in the village, which can be experienced without charge. Overall, the ambiance in the village is very nice, there are many restaurants which are good (among one where the owner can speak French). The ski resort is quite huge, and very natural. We had the chance to see the famous snowy trees on the top of the mountains, for many days (so it's for real!). Very recommended.

Wonderful location! This house was within 5 minutes walking distance from the bus station, multiple restaurants, and various onsens! The restaurant right in front of the house was so good that we ate there twice. Taka and Oraphin were super kind and helpful with anything we needed. They provided maps and tips on visiting the onsens. The room was quiet and had a lovely view of the snow and mountain. Western style Bidet down the hall had a warming function which helped with midnight bathroom trips. The shower room downstairs was very spacious and the water heated up very quickly. Coffee and tea were provided downstairs daily. We were provided with comfy slippers to use around the house while our snow boots dried in the foyer. It's a very cozy location and we loved our stay there.

Oyado Morinone está en Kaminoyama, a 17 km de Estación de esquí Zao Onsen y a 19 min a pie de Estación de Kaminoyama-Onsen. This was the most elegant and restful stay of my life. Food is incredible - deserves a bib gourmand! Rooms are large and comfortable with a view. Onsen is lovely. The best is the free alcohol and hot drink service in the evenings around the fireplace. Definitely stay here if you can! It’s once in a lifetime type stuff
