The guesthouse is as clean as a home, and the manager of the guesthouse is such a nice person. He speaks English well, and communication with him was very easy. He even dropped us off at the Matsue Station on the last day. The toilets and the bathroom was always clean although the guesthouse was quite busy on our last two days.

すさのわ, a property with a garden, is situated in Izumo, 17 km from Masakigaoka Park, 23 km from Former Taisha Station, as well as 24 km from Hamayama Park. The hosts were extremely attentive. Cooking facilities were available shared with the family. The bathroom was also shared but there was no problem whatsoever. We really loved staying here in amazing surroundings. At the weekends go to the little cafe at the top of the road where there is local guitar playing. Tell the Sylvie from London told you to go.

She really cares for her guests and treats them like family. She was so concerned one of her recommendations didn't work out for me, so she tried extra hard to make my time in Matsue memorable. She knows all the local knowledge and can tell you all about many things. The cats are very cute and she keeps the house very clean even with all the cats!

18 km from Tamawakasu-mikoto Shrine, guesthouse碧 is a recently renovated property situated in Okinoshima and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. It's a very cute guesthouse with the most welcoming hosts. The guesthouse is located right next to a little secret path to the sea and next to a little seaside town with amazing rock formations and views. I was travelling without a car and the public transport is a little difficult, so the hosts always made sure that I can get to places without any issues.
