The owner speaks excellent English and was very helpful throughout our stay. We had a room next to the bathroom which made using the shared facilities easier (but being Japan these are very clean). The owner offered us some plum wine as a welcome. Parking is in a line outside the house so you need to juggle cars a bit but it wasn't a problem as the owner was always on hand. Excellent air con which is essential in the summer hear. The property was excellent value and perfectly located for the centre of Matsushima. The property could probably benefit from a common area with coffee / tea making so there is somewhere to sit aside from the rooms. There is such a room but I think it is still being developed.

Featuring free property-wide WiFi, a spa centre and a seasonal outdoor pool, Matsushima Ichinobo offers accommodation in Matsushima. Everything is amazing. It is expensive, but you get what you pay. I recommend staying for at least 2 nights. I stayed for only one night, and I think I could have enjoyed more (like the gardens and the free rental bike service) if I had more time. Having said that,I thoroughly enjoyed my bedroom, the lounge, restaurant, the baths. The free all you can eat ice cream in the lounge was also a positive surprise.

The best is the private Onsen with view to the bay, absolutely stunning. The staff is superattentive and they axplain everything in english. The atmosphere in the hotel is quiet and chilling. Brekkie is very good and varies fron day to day. Parkibg is in front of the hotel or 100m on a hotel parking

El Guest House Umebachi ofrece habitaciones compartidas con conexión de wifi gratis. Los huéspedes pueden alquilar bicicletas para recorrer la zona y relajarse en la terraza al aire libre. The hosts and staff were very friendly and welcoming, and made the stay really enjoyable. It is a hostel, but it is well kept and the common area is pretty nice to hang out and talk.

El Kakomu - Vacation STAY 70352v ofrece alojamiento en Kesennuma, a 47 km de la estación de Ichinoseki. The owner are super friendly and nice. House is huge and super cold cause is located on the hill. Luckily the well prepared of owner with soft blanket we feel warm.
