The breakfast was heartfelt and the Japanese-style family bathroom was very cozy.

The place is perfect for discovering the coast (the beach is 200 meters away) but especially if you want to do one of the many sections of Kumano path. The family who runs this ryokan were extremely attentive to every detail of our stay. The rooms are spacious and pleasant. The common areas are very clean, the bathrooms have a small onsen which is very pleasant at the end of the day! The highlight of the stay is the meals and breakfasts. The chef is a master of Japanese cuisine! Each dish transported us during the three nights we spent here, a treat! Local specialties are based on seafood and fish. We tasted many new flavors, always balanced and refined. We highly recommend this peaceful place, and hope to return.

We really enjoyed staying at Hisashi’s place. The apartment is perfect for couples or families. It is very clean, spacious, and comfortable. It is carefully renovated with a lot of care for Japanese traditional houses. The futons were very comfortable and the breakfast with delicious bred and juice was just perfect. The village itself is definitely worth a visit. It is very relaxed and still offers everything you need. Supermarket, restaurant and especially a great beach just in front and beautiful nature. We were warmly welcomed and immediately felt like being at home. We definitely recommend to book dinner if possible. Food is amazing here.

The hostess was very friendly and helpful. Free pick up. There was a morning concert, and a real owl to pet. The view from the second floor cafe was also amazing! And! There are still many animation goods! People who like this animation and those who haven't seen it can enjoy this place I can sure.
