Location, quiet on river with cafes near by. Only 15min walk to main shopping areas. Traditional Japanese style yet all modern conveniences.

We had a wondeful stay at Luck You Kyoto. The reception was friendly and made us feel wecome from the very beginning. We were offered a welcome tea and local sweets. Our room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was mostly Japanese (while travelling, I like to eat local food even if it is rather unfamiliar). Luck Ypu Kyoto is situated very close to bus stops and relatively close to a railway station We appreciate the possibility to visit the adjacent sento. Moreover, it was much appreciated to leave our bags before check-in. Would visit again any day.

Minn Gion asub Gionmachi Higashiyama Wardi piirkonnas, 300 meetri kaugusel Samurai Kembu Kyotost, 600 meetri kaugusel Gion Shijo jaamast ja vähem kui 1 km kaugusel Shoren-ini templist. One of the best stays I ever had. If you don't need breakfast or daily cleaning service, this place offers incredible value for the money and feels more than a small Airbnb than a hotel, since the room included a sofa, a table, and a kitchen. Everything was clean and check-in/check-out went very smooth for us. The location right in Gion is also perfect, as I think Gion is one of the best areas in Kyoto at night.

Rinn Shiki Juraku asub Kyotos, 1,1 km kaugusel Nijo lossist ja 1,7 km kaugusel kesklinnast. Kohapeal on konditsioneeri, tasuta WiFi-ühenduse ja aiaga majutusruumid. This is a great place to stay for when you want to have your own private quiet space (and a bit more space than a typical hotel room), but still want to be cared for by hotel-like staff. We landed on this place because I wanted to stay in a typical Ryokan, but my husband wanted his own bathroom. It was the best stay of our Japan trip out of 3 hotels that were all far above average. It feels very secluded and private, there are around 10 apartments in total and everyone has their own entrance. There's a coin washing machine as well. There is a small breakfast buffet with really great coffee and they provide some free snacks during the day as well I believe. All in all it feels really kind and caring.

Excellent location, 300m from metro (Kyoto bus w/luggage is a pain) so station is easy. Imperial palace is next door. Silent street. Host is friendly, room is indeed spacious, furnished tastefully. Lots of wall sockets. Microwave, fridge is good to have. Openable window, balcony.

Offering sea views, 舟宿 壱 is an accommodation located in Ine, 16 km from Manai Shrine and 16 km from Motoise Kono Shrine. Cleanliness, coziness, the facilities, the views, everything was excellent

In the Nakagyo Ward district of Kyoto, close to Kyoto International Manga Museum, 谷町君・星屋旅館・神泉ノ宿 二条城 has a garden, free WiFi and a washing machine. Everything was new and clean. Location is also good, close to Nijo castle and with good connection to other areas.

What a great find this accomodation has been! After being initially slightly dissapointed we could not get a funaya accommodation, after our actual stay, all I can say is how lucky we were to have experienced the stay here instead. The room was so spaceous, and bright, with all the facilities we would have wanted. The kotatsu has been lovely! All the decoration and overall setting feels so cosy and warm. Exceptional breakfast, with many delicious choices. Lots of flavor and fresh, local ingredients. Loved the pickles and the atsuki dessert! Everything was spot on! Much more than we could have hoped. Wish we could have stayed more to enjoy the room facilities even better.
