Everything in the room was perfect. The room was spotless, everything looked brand new, the room was very very wide, the beds are very comfortable, and our room had a piano which we enjoyed playing. Most important, it is in the center of town with a drugstore across the street and dining less than five minutes away! Also, the owner made us feel very welcome. We will definitely stay here again.

Yakushima Park Guesthouse ligger i Yakushima, knappt 10 km från Shiratani Unsuikyo och 23 km från berget Miyanoura. The location is great! From this guest house, you can easily go to popular destinations(Jomon-Sugi, and Shiratani unsuikyo) with public transportation options and rental cars. Also there are great restaurants in walkable range. Moreover, the host is super kind and he can tell lots of things about Yakushima travel!(you better be good at speaking Japanese)

A comfortable and well appointed guest room in a small guesthouse at the beach, a few metres from Heart Rock. Wonderful sea views. Good swimming and snorkelling. Catch the local airport bus to get here from airport or ferry. Some distance to grocery stores, so be prepared if you do not have your own transport. Friendly and welcoming owners.

We spent great moments here. Inside the house, it is pretty warm. There are coffee beans and everything ready for us to make a hand drip coffee. I can’t wait to make one cup. The coffee taste so good and smooth, maybe this is selected beans. I connected the Bluetooth speaker and playing Mayumi Itsuwa’s songs. Music harmonized with the lovely chalet interior, the atmosphere is so relaxing and immersive. Kihara-san is very nice. The Shinyu Onsen he recommended is gorgeous. The hot spring water is wonderful. It is milky-white, so natural and so great. I guess it come from a sulphur spring. In the daytime, we hiked around Onamiike and Ebino Plateau. The crater lake is amazing and there are great views along the trails. At night, we do BBQ in front of the chalet. We rent a Charcoal Konro Grill set, it is really convenient. We bought some Japanese Wagyu beef for yakiniku from supermarket near Kirishima. The beef is yummy, really delicious.

Kirishima Momijidani Seiryuso ligger i Kirishima, 9,2 km från Kirishima Jingu Shrine, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering och en terrass. The place is truly authentic, ppl may describe it as old but it's can't be more wrong. I would describe it as rustic and serene, especially with the river beside it. Yes!! A running river, not much of a great sight but the sound of flowing water bring peace to your soul. Also, there's a private and excusive onsen beside the river, you just have to reserve it. Now to the most important aspect, the staff of Seiryuso.The hotel manager, Kajiki san set the benchmark for top notch hospitality. He has a bubbling personality, always giving out good vibes and positive energy. Always ready to serve and provide service. Always service with a smile.😊😊😊. Well, Japanese are known to provide great service but this is a whole other level. A special shout-out to the restaurant crew, specifically the service staff, didn't manage to get all their names other than matsuyi san. Kudos to the other gentlemen that provided the service.

La Isla Tasse ligger i en stor herrgård i amerikansk stil, 15 minuters bilresa från Yakushimas flygplats. Location is perfect for the famous hiking trails (Jomonsugi / Yakusugi Land). Since it is located in Anbo town, there are convenient supermarkets and restaurants close by. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There are two large shared bathroom spaces, and separate toilets - but I did not feel like I had to wait at all to use them. The bathrooms have many toiletries, and there is even a jacuzzi/bath you can use, which is perfect after a long day of hiking. There is also a lovely, well decorated common space / dining space that can be used. A delicious, Japanese style home cooked breakfast is offered here. Credit card and cash accepted. The hosts - they were the kindest and friendliest people, and made my stay very memorable !! I will definitely come back just to stay here again. I would recommend a little Japanese, but they are very accommodating to English speakers. Perfect place!
