Situato a Morioka, a 3,3 km dalla Morioka Ice Arena e a 5 km dall'Iwayama Park Land, il Tototo Morioka offre camere climatizzate e un bagno in comune. Morioka is a nice, quiet city and Tototo is in a lovely peaceful neighborhood. Dela-san, the owner is very friendly and helpful with information about the area. The Sunday dinner and Monday morning walk were both among some of my favorite highlights of my trip to Japan so far.

Located a 7-minute walk from Gosho Lake, Shikitei Morioka TsunagiOnsen offers free WiFi and indoor/outdoor hot spring baths. JR Morioka Train Station is a 25-minute drive from the property. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. You won't have any problems even if you don't speak Japanese. The shared bath was very nice but the highlight for me was the private onsen, going in and out of the onsen while enjoying the night sky all night was a really nice experience. The food was exceptional, both dinner and breakfast.

Located in Kitakami, 42 km from Chuson-ji Temple, Yasuragino Yado -Iyashino Yu- provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. I didn't take the breakfast, so I can't comment on it. Location was good for me since I wanted to walk everyday.

24 km from Chuson-ji Temple in Oshu, フォレストコテージ奥州 provides accommodation with access to a sauna, hot spring bath and open-air bath. The air-conditioned accommodation is 25 km from Motsuji Temple. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Forest Cottage Oshu. It was the perfect winter getaway - cozy and wholesome! There was snow everywhere and it felt so magical! The room was spacious and comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped. We enjoyed the nearby onsen, which is free if you stay at one of the cottages. When we came back from the onsen in the evening, the staff started a bonfire outside that just enhanced the magical atmosphere. We found a couple of sweet potatoes in a plastic bag hung at our door handle and fully enjoyed roasting them in the bonfire. Such an amazing stay!

Located 34 km from Chuson-ji Temple, ゲストハウス蘖 -ひこばえ provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The holiday flat is quite close to the Sakura spot of Tenshochi Park and the Michinoku folk museum. The flat is located at the riverside with a lovely view and is decorated prettily. The owner is nice. She showed us some beautiful places when we arrived and drove us to the station when we had to leave.

Situato a 300 m dal Tempio di Motsuji, a 2,3 km dal Tempio Chuson-ji e a 6 km dal Tempio Takkoku Seikou-ji, Minpaku Suzuki offre alloggi a Hiraizumi. Hiraizumi was the very first place where my husband and I reached, once in Japan: there, directly from Narita airport. We wanted to visit a "real" place, non for tourists, rural, and so it was. Even though it's not very famous in the West, in Hiraizumi there are very important Buddhist temples, Chuson-ji in particular and also Motsu-ji. In addition to being close to the station, the Suzuki family home allows you to reach every point of historical and cultural interest, as well as the thermal baths (onsen), in a short time on foot. Mr. Suzuki are excellent hosts, very kind and patient with foreigners. The language barrier (they do NOT speak English) was overcome in a fun way that allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the country we were in. Hiraizumi will be missed. Hiraizumi è stata la cittadina del nostro primo impatto con il Giappone: siamo andati subito lì, direttamente dall'aeroporto di Tokyo Narita. Volevamo vedere un posto "vero", rurale, non turistico, e così è stato. Anche se poco conosciuti in occidente, a Hiraizumi ci sono complessi di templi buddhisti molto importanti, Chuson-ji in particolare e anche Motsu-ji. Oltre a essere vicina alla stazione, la casa dei signori Suzuki permette di raggiungere a piedi e in poco tempo ogni punto di interesse storico e culturale, nonché le terme (onsen). I signori Suzuki sono ospiti eccellenti, gentilissimi e pazienti con gli stranieri. La barriera linguistica (i signori NON parlano inglese) è stata superata in un modo divertente e che ci ha permesso di immergerci completamente nel Paese in cui eravamo. Hiraizumi ci mancherà. ありがとうございます、すずきさん。
