Located within less than 1 km of Aeon Tobata Shopping Center and a 18-minute walk of Catholic Tobata Church, Nostime lodge 女性限定 female only provides rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom... I loved the location! Tobata is such a nice neigbourhood. Not touristy at all, you get a real insight into japnese life. Especially with the hosts and the facitilties. The family was sooo nice and help with everything immediately. The hospitality was exeptional!!!

The owner was very friendly and kind! They warmly helped to make sightseeing plan and gave us both lifts to pick us up to the station late at night and bring us to the station in the morning.

We stayed for four days and visited various places around: the city of porcelain Arita, Fukuoka, Nanzoin (the largest bronze statue of Buddha), ... The connection is perfect, just 20 minutes by JR train from Fukuoka Hakata station. The scenery around is nice: hills, big dam, temple, and a well-kept garden. The staff is friendly and creates a welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast and dinner were traditional and very well served in handmade porcelain bowls. We were in Japan for three weeks in various hotels. This accommodation and food was the best we had. Great experience.

Offering a garden and garden view, 柳川ゲストハウス 憩 (IKOI) is set in Yanagawa, 19 km from Yoshinogari Historical Park and 33 km from Hirayama Hot Spring. Jo was the perfect host. Picked us up from the station, even drove us to another station, 20 mins away, to get our JR train on departure. He was very attentive & super helpful i.e. helping planning our canal boat ride, suggesting a local restaurant, translating etc.
