It’s a truly local experience with a local family. They welcomed us with a smile and they let us feel like part of the family. Facilities are basic but there are all the essentials: WiFi working well, comfy bed, (we had a private) bathroom with running water on toilet and a (cold) shower, a tasty meal prepared by the family. They speak good English and even the daughters do! The location is a bit outside the centre of the town and on a hill, but we liked walking around cheered by locals to watch the village life going on. We would definitely go back again. Great value for money - close proximity to the pier and nice restaurants, mentos and Erick made me feel very welcome and the abundance of fresh fruit for breakfast was beautiful

When you want to traveling to Ruteng, don’t miss this place, eventho you are not staying here, you should come to the restaurant, the food are great with a fair price.

The property is in a small fishermen village and provides for all the needs that make a comfortable stay. Paul, the owner, is very attentive and dedicated to ensure guests are having an enjoyable stay. We arrived late and he still managed to find us a captain for the boat ride the next morning.

Beautiful property located not far from Labuan bajo. Well worth having dinner there one night. Melo cafe is also close by and does nice food (but be prepared for a hard walk uphill to reach it unless you have a motorbike). Overall we had a lovely stay.

Sun Rice Homestay on hiljuti renoveeritud kodumajutus Rutengis, kus külalised saavad nautida aeda ja terrassi. Personal võib korraldada transporditeenust. The view is to die for. Our host Jeff and his family were very welcoming, accommodating our very large and noisy family with an extra bed in our bedroom. His morning rice field walks are a legend and he takes amazing photos.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Escape Bajo; it offers excellent value. The view from our room was breathtaking. The staff were extremely helpful, and the food was delicious, complete with a welcome drink and a delightful breakfast. The coffee was exceptional—the best I've ever tasted, likely made from special beans. We intended to book another stay after our boat trip, but it was fully booked.

It was a great experience to stay with and talk to the whole family including their children. I could also enjoy a nice breakfast before I left. You can also do tours with Ricardo or rent a scooter.
