If there is paradise on earth it is Harry´s Ocean House in Pacitan. Everything about it is beautiful. The dorm, where you basically sleep in the open, the common area, everything. It is a place where you will find chill people, can enjoy surfing with literally no people in the water (apart from the people staying at Harry´s and few locals) and not many other tourists. For me it is the spot to learn how to surf, since it is a beach break (safe), only few surfers, but still some good swell. It is perfect for relaxing and extending your stay to more than just a few days (I ended up staying a month). You can rent a surfboard and scooter for a really fair price (cheapest I have had in my travels). Tina and Gayun who run the hostel are super friendly too. I am already planning to come back at the end of my travels :)

This was honestly such a refreshing stay. The accomodation is incredibly curated. The rooms were clean, comfortable and private. We enjoyed the home cooked meals and fresh fruit made by the amazing staff! Who were all very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The homestay is right next to the beach, for which we were blessed with a few great days of weather. Overall, our stay was extremely relaxing and pleasant. And we’d recommend anyone to give this spot a chance! Once again, thank you to all the staff that made for such a beautiful time!

Room is very good: nice bed, very good AC and also enough space. They arrange your to Mount Ijen for the best price and the experience is very good. I will definitely recommend this guesthouse, it’s amazing!

The friendly atmosphere only enhanced my experience, making it truly unforgettable.

Juda Homestay ligger under 21 km fra Watu Dodol i Banyuwangi og tilbyder indkvartering med opholdsområde. Stayed here for 2 nights and had a great stay. The host is wonderful and super helpful with planning tours to Ijen, renting motorbike and any other inquiries you may have. He was easy to communicate with and gave us great tips on local places to go check out. He makes a great breakfast and even made sure we had fried bananas as a snack before leaving for our Mount Ijen tour at midnight. He really makes this homestay have tremendous value! The rooms and bathroom were clean and spacious. It was nice to have the toilet and shower separated by a small wall and there was hot water in the shower. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well enough to keep us cool. The WiFi worked well, as we had no issues when browsing the internet and looking at reviews of places/tours. My wife and I had a wonderful stay here and I would highly recommend. Great base for Ijen tours.

Banana Homestay ligger 2,8 km fra Boom Beach og 14 km fra Watu Dodol. Der er gratis wi-fi og ferieboliger med køkken, terrasse og opholdsområde. I love our host Fryda and her husband, they took such good care of us! My friend got sick after the volcano trip and Fryda helped us out to sort our trip, which was so lovely of her, we couldn't be happier with her hospitality and always there to help. The breakfast was also amazing! Our expectations were to just have a bed to stay in for a night, but it felt like we visited our family. Thank you Fryda from the bottom of our hearts 🥰

Mi Casa - The gem of Ijen ligger under 31 km fra Watu Dodol i Banyuwangi og tilbyder indkvartering med opholdsområde. A beautiful place run by beautiful people in the midst of lush greenery and a stream flowing through the properly. The food was custom cooked and delicious. The sunrise trek to Ijen was the highlight. Ericka and Mark helped with pickup from the port a well as organising the trek for us. Highly recommend a stay here. Thank you Ericka and Mark.
