The semi-outdoor bathroom was stunning and also has hot water. The open kitchen and the living room was so relaxing. The staff very friendly and welcoming. Stay in Adara make me feel like home!

It was such a welcoming and peaceful place, set in an incredible part of the country. Communicating with the hosts was very easy and they were very flexible to helping with changing requirements. Great surfboard selection too. Highly recommend.

Set 400 metres from Rajegwesi Beach, Java Turtle Lodge Meru Betiri offers air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace. We had a wonderful time at Java Turtle homestay. Hadi made us feel home. He organized a Tour for us to Meru Betiri, Green Bay and Sukamade Beach to watch the turtles with a ranger. We also watched Tukans, Kingfisher, peakhawk, eagles, grey and black monkeys, and squirrel.The tour ist highly recommended. Also they offer very good local food at the homestay and robusta coffee. Restaurants i street food molt a prop. La casa està molt bé, és gran, lluminosa i amb espais comuns per estar així com una zona compartida amb pica i coberteria que pots utilitzar. Tè, cafè i aigua gratuïts. Personal molt amable i esmorzar bo. Hem fet l'excursió al volcà Ijen amb ells i tot molt bé. El guia molt atent.

Conveniently located in Licin district of Licin, Bamboo & B features a garden, a bar and a shared lounge. The property has mountain and river views, and is 31 km from Watu Dodol. This was one of our favourite places to stay during our trip. The chilling area on the first floor is so nice! It has a real cozy atmosphere. The double rooms are wonderful, it feels like glamping. We had to fight for the upper room going up with the ladder ;-) There are two bathrooms, this is enough for the number of rooms. They were clean and the view is great when you are taking your ‘outside’ shower! The owner is vey friendly and organised our trip for mount Ijen and the transfer to the harbour. No hassle… Breakfast was simple but good quality. Staying in a real bamboo house was very special to us. We would definitely have loved to stay more nights if it would have been available!

Located 2.8 km from Boom Beach and 14 km from Watu Dodol, Banana Homestay features free WiFi and units equipped with a kitchen, terrace and seating area. Everything about this stay was amazing. The hosts, Fryda and Imran, go out of their way to ensure your stay is as good as can be. When we arrived we were not feeling well (Bali belly) and Fryda raced to their local shop to buy us some fresh coconut water. On the second day, they both took the morning to drive us to a coffee plantation and a local batik painting shop and workshop. Further, Fryda helped us book our train tickets. The breakfasts were excellent and facilities and rooms were simple but clean. This is a homestay and Fryda and Imran welcome you in with open arms. Highly recommend staying here if you are after a budget friendly homestay. Thanks Fryda and Imran, hope to see you again someday.

Located within 31 km of Watu Dodol in Banyuwangi, Mi Casa - The gem of Ijen features accommodation with seating area. We travelled through Java and Bali for one month, staying in seven different places, including some quite luxury ones. This was the place we liked the most. By far. Felt at home and relaxed inmmediately, with the sensation that everything is there and works, and is beautiful: villa, garden, pool, privacy... And if you want, you can find Marc and Ericka, who have very interesting explanations and stories about Indonesia (and life in general) and were always thinking about our wishes and about how to make our stay even nicer. Marc also explained a lot of things about animals in general (and their otters in particular) to our 12-year-old daughter. Very good memories of these five days! Would love to return!
