The owner Julio made my stay a very special experience, taking me to see the Semana Santa processions in town in the morning. I got a fantastic sleep in the quiet and dark 4 bed dorm with comfy mattresses. Breakfast was delicious waffles served at a communal table with the other guests.

The apartment was very clean and well equipped, everything we needed was there. The facilites were fantastic. Host was very helpful and responded to our request well. Close enough to Panajachel to get to easily but not in the middle of everything. Perfect both for people who want to go and do tourist things or those who want to relax in a jacuzzi.

What a hidden surprise in a busy street! Room was spotless clean, the staff was super friendly at all times and breakfast was great! All facilities in the apartment were great to have, moreover if you are traveling with kids and family.

This is a small family-run business that offers quiet, comfortable rooms in an amazing location. Only a short walk to shops, restaurants, and views of Lake Atitlan. I really felt welcome by the family and enjoyed being able to escape the loud party scene that San Pedro is known for. I would stay here again and again and recommend it to everyone!

This makes it much calmer and less noisy - The weekend /weekday markets are across the street. You got a bit of an additional authenticity through those (plus you can easily buy delicious fruits) - The owner was extremely helpful with answering all of our questions about the place, the neighborhood and the town - We were also allowed to check out in the afternoon which was a huge help for us (by not having to spend hours in the summer heat while waiting for our shuttle)

We could not have had a better experience staying here. Domingo the host was the most accommodating, offering help any way he could and really elevated our 5 day stay. The house itself was in a perfect location: close to all the main in in San Juan la Laguna, while remaining just off the beaten path. The house and rooms were plentiful and spacious, and the rooftop terrace out of this world. We were 7 people and felt like we had more than enough space. We had so much fun staying here and would stay here again in a heart beat. San Juan La Laguna is a beautiful town with real heart surrounded by gorgeous mountains and inhabited by generous, interesting people. If you are thinking of coming to Lake Atitlan, I could not recommend enough staying in San Juan enough. And Casa Elenita only exceeded any expectation we had.

The property sits on the lake Atitlan which you can see every morning from your bedroom and from the balcony at night. If you are looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating vacation, this is the place! We barbecued every night and enjoyed the serenity of Guatemala. Assistance is just a message a way, the locals who look after the propoerty always have a smile on their face and will be happy to run to the village for any errand.
