L'Esplanade Lille is set in the historic centre of Lille in front of the Citadel of Lille and a 14-minute walk from Lille Grand Place. Seriously, this is one of the best hotels I have booked. Ambiance is perfect. The room is lovely, large, comfortable, clean, warm and with a beautiful view. 5-10mins walk to the center and nice bars or restaurants. Breakfast was peaceful, with a nice view and appretizing.

Manoir Les Feuillantines Piscine & Spa in Isques provides adults-only accommodation with an indoor pool and a garden. A hot tub is available for guests, along with spa facilities. Great place to visit! We went here because we wanted to go to the Nausicaá museum in Boulogne-Sur-Mer. The facility where we stayed was amazing, the beds were great and the host was superkind. The breakfast that was included was absolutely amazing and quite diverse. We got some great travel tips from the host (restaurants to go to, places to visit) as well, which made our little holiday even better! It was also really great to have a swim and to meet the donkeys and the goats the owner has. We loved our stay here.

Everything was fantastic, well equipped. Very stylish and cosy. An absoloute gem. Free parking either on the road or in little bays. The owner communicated great. Going to definitely save this for future trips

Beautiful interior, lovely rooms. The owners are most friendly and can’t do enough for the guests. Close enough to public transport to reach Lille easily.

Offering a terrace and inner courtyard view, au 33 chambres d'hôtes is set in Saint-Omer, 46 km from Calais Railway Station and 9.1 km from La Coupole. Location - just yards from the main square and amazing restaurants. We received such a warm welcome, and our hosts, Herve and Franck went the extra mile on so many levels - from homemade kiwi and apple marmalade with breakfast, to helping us navigate the French police system when we got our car towed! But I have to mention the art and decor too - we just felt like we were stepping back into french time with wonderful wooden floorboards and staircase, and surrounding by inspiring and actually comforting art works. We will return.

Host: Very friendly and straightforward communication with the owner Gregory. He sent plenty of helpful instructions and advice before my arrival. Even the jacuzzi was preheated and ready to use. Check-in was very smooth, keys are located in a lock box. Very handy for me as I arrived rather late at night. Apartment: my expectations were by far exceeded. The apartment is very well kept and equipped with all you need for a short stay (and even for a couple of days I imagine). All appliances and kitchenware seem pretty new, of good quality and in perfect working order. There is underfloor heating. The cleanliness of the place is extraordinary, in fact this is by far one of the most spotless accommodations I have been to so far (being rather demanding in that regard). Even those nooks and crannies that are often overlooked were cleaned to perfection: inside the microwave, on top of the rainforest showerhead, windowsills, and even the cutlery and tableware were spotless. This is the first accommodation I have come across that didn't make me feel the need for washing the dishes before using them for the first time. The mattress was very comfortable for my liking, a bit on the hard side which I prefer. All doors (including the patio sliding doors) are closing smoothly with no creaking or scratching. The garden is nicely decorated and I can only recommend the jacuzzi... Gregory had kindly prepared it prior to my arrival so I could use it first thing after check-in. Other: Ingredients for a generous and varied breakfast are provided, which is a nice gesture. The place is nicely decorated without feeling overloaded. Plenty of toilet tissue is provided as well. Private parking inside the garden gates. Location: nicely tucked away in a small village in the outskirts of Cambrai. Very quiet and well-kept surroundings. I arrived to late to grab some dinner locally, McDonald's in Cambrai was the only place still open. Not a problem at all, as it is a mere 5-10min drive.
