Books are real, good books, not those only put there for decoration. The hotel staff was also very helpful. Seeing that we sometimes left our door ajar, she thoughtfully ignited mosquito-repellent herds around the vicinity. It is a place one might feel like living in a dream, surrounded by the ambiance of thousands of years of traditional Chinese culture. The moment you entered the hotel and closed the door behind you, you leave the hustling, bustling world outside, and entered one serene, zen and beautiful.

There are tonnes of eateries and most share a common or similar menu - all locally produced. Finally, the host -Mr Jin- willingly drove me to the islands hospital so I could do a Covid test. He volunteered this service helping me every step of the way. A true gentleman with excellent English and a good conversationalist to boot - you won’t regret staying here at all!!
