Casa da Padaria is a very beautiful stone house very close to the center of the village of Piodao and with a great view over the mountains. The house is extremely well maintained and clean. The breakfast was of high quality and the host is very pleasant. We strongly recommend.

This was the most incredible stay in the world. Marcia has thought of everything - from a basket of lovely food for breakfast to the most comfortable beds and comforters to the beauty of the decor throughout. It is a joy to be in a space that is so completely beautiful and well thought out. I was amazed. This is truly a small house design that is special, functional, beautiful and unique. I suggested to the owners that they submit it to an architectural magazine for an article - it is that good. Communication with marcia was perfect. Using the house and getting in and out was well-described. In addition to the many great amenities here, there were coffee pods and a coffee maker, which may not sound important to some, but to us what so great! The house is beautifully situated near the main square. When you open the front door to roam this incredible village you are met with the beautiful sight and sound of water from the town moving through the incredibly designed waterway channels. Piodao is very very special. Story Studio is also very special. The two together make an unforgettable experience. I hope we can come back and stay for more days. Thank you to our wonderful hosts. Anyone who stays here is fortunate indeed.

The atmosphere is great! You live almost in the wildness, in a megical village surounded by wonder view!!! The upper part of the house where the pleasent bathroom and bedrooms are located-has AirC that keeps these rooms warm! Great sleep! The owner helped us with bed linens...Thank you!

Adelina was wonderful! We arrived at the tiny but beautiful village on a cold and rainy day. After snuggling in and heating our little house, Adelina came by and offered to make us supper. She made us a great supper and we enjoyed every minute of her and her husband's company. We used Google translate to our good advantage. Enjoyed the supper she made in the local community building and watched some football with the locals. We were supposed to spend the next night in nearby Piodao but scrapped that for an extra night in Porto due to the cold weather. We did visit Piodao and found it to be overly commercial where as Arganil really seemed like the real deal.

La casita fue super comoda y acojedora! Doña Deolinda fue muy amable y siempre estuvo muy atenta a nuestras necesidades, ademas de que su comida fue deliciosa. Recomendamos altamente el lugar si sus deseos son pasar unos dias tranquilos lejos del bullicio de la ciudad :)

Beautiful stone house fitted with great modern spec. Super quaint and peaceful location, great to recharge, take in the views and enjoy a glass of wine by the fire. There’s also lots to see, friendly locals and Claudia is a great host and very responsive. Would def stay again.
