This apartment has been a fantastic discovery for several reasons. First of all, the apartment itself is entirely new and excessively clean. It feels like you are the first person to have the privilege to stay. The design is aesthetically pleasing, and all amenities are there. The location is perfect, settled in a well-connected central area of the city, tucked in across the giant supermarket chain, in a lush, tree-packed garden. This contributes to various birds chirping and singing at any time of day, making the place seem like an oasis in an otherwise arid region. These green pockets exist around the other areas of the city, but this particular one is just as green as it can get. The owners are incredibly polite and helpful, and they speak good English. Hence, anyone coming into the city with low or no skills in Russian or Kazakh could easily communicate in English, too.

The room was really big - we had a sofa and dining table as well as a desk area and bathroom. It was really quiet and had a nice garden. The host was extremely helpful - we arrived at 4am and she waited up, she helped organise a taxi for us when we left and gave us directions to local supermarkets/restaurants. The breakfast was nice - there were a few different options.
